I ordered a set online the morning after it was posted on this forum. People had already said the sets were sold out but it let me order so I took the chance. I didn't hear anything up until last week so I dropped them a friendly email the next day they were dispatched and I already have them here in the uk.

Don't bother with paypal. They will get you to work it out with the seller. If that doesn't work out, you have to send the items back at your cost, and then you will be only be refunded the original price and shipping.
For someone living in North America the return shipping will not hurt, but the ROW return shipping cost will hurt given the weight.

I agree entirely that this should never have happened, poor form, refunds should be offered, etc. But from a practical perspective, if you are offered a full refund would you return it (assuming the damage is similar to that already shared)? I don't think I would. I think they still look excellent and would rather have one with some marks/fingerprints than not have one at all.
