I was also there, and I think the less-expensive DOB sold out much quicker. I went for the larger DOB first, and was able to grab one under a minute, but when I tried for the other one, it was sold out. |

I know a number of people who 'spoofed' their location and copped from the comfort of their home. Pretty easy to do by all accounts.
Couple of guys also copped from outside the convention centre, against the back wall.

The service was much better and there were many spots on the actual floor not part of the drop zone. As far as I know these people were all paid attendees who still put forth actual effort and deserved the rewards.
Last year was a s**t show. There was no secret link. If you waited in line you were given a card with the web address. The reason these lasted so long is because they simply did not hand out that many cards because the lines were so insanely slow because credit card problems. Unfortunately the link was leaked and it went worldwide and the rest is history.

Why can't they just sell products there and then rather than all this ordering in advance stuff? Surely, they have enough money in the bank to have actually purchased their inventory in advance.

I think guys are saying that you didn't HAVE to buy these at all. It's not like someone put a gun to your head and forced you to buy them.
