I can understand why an artist would not go that route but to me that's really the only way. Or, price them closer to market value. If flippers can't make a bunch of money off the print, they'll stay away instead of snatching everything and artificially driving up the value.

Art creates conversation just like music and books. For example, I think the Mona Lisa is iconic but people will debate that generations from now.
I bought the piece, yay me, and I live in the States. Why, plain and simple, I like the image. I plan on framing it and placing it on my wall.
Quite frankly, D*Face did his job. This piece created 10 pages of content on this blog site. Art creates conversation just like music and books. For example, I think the Mona Lisa is iconic but people will debate that generations from now.
I bought the piece, yay me, and I live in the States. Why, plain and simple, I like the image. I plan on framing it and placing it on my wall.

If they really wanted to deter flippers they could put some kind of invisible ink/watermark on each print as an identifier that only they would know how to check for.

Shout out to the gent at the front of the queue who was giving out free bacon and egg sarnies and helped pass the time by chatting about art and whatnot with a total stranger. I was 5th ish in the queue and there were some cool cats there early. The italian guy i was in front of was pb'ing for a friend and a genuine guy for spending that time to help someone out.
I had seen the image before so i was stoked to discover it was the print. I liked it already so it was a no-brainer for me. Maybe helps im british too. Anyhoo, i made a vid when i got home and posted it on youtube. its with my mobile phone but i thought i'd share.

The screenprinted book and coke mini print, which i took with me in case he was there to get it signed. And a End to those dogs variant from the Malaga CAC show which i was fortunate enough to get to attend, and PB almost half the run of 25. Thankfully that was signed as i woulda been cheesed off to tube it and cart around london for no reason.
Its a stunner to look at, and while its not everyones cup of tea. Im sure that those who are into it wont be disappointed. Also i dont really get the - oh its for brits thing. I love his hollywood boom and im not from cali.

Think is just to make people buy quickly, and (specially in this case) then after feel sorry…so it is just causing more secondary market trade, in my opinion.
Besides the Stolen Space site was unreachable and completely down most of the time on sauturday…maybe time for some update?

Either way, I'm sure those in attendance and those who acquired the print will be beyond happy with it. The quality of D's prints are always top notch and would love to see it in person. For me however, not my cup of tea as I prefer the Lichtenstein-esqe style. Congrats to those who have acquired.

The print is really nice up close and personal. I think the image is great and the print quality is really nice. I understand why American buyers are not really interested, I'd never hang any sort of American flag.

Too many artists are doing this theme and using Christmas as their platform of opportunity. I know there are a lot of Dface fans and if you like it, then cool. If you are thinking about secondary market; Dface has become a bit unstable with prices over the last few years,although that shouldn't worry you if you're a collector. Gone are the days of pop tart and going nowhere fast seems to have been the turning point. And this not revealing the image well...
