Yeah I don't actually mind House of Cards, but I still think it's not one of his strongest. The print released earlier this year is his first that I actually disliked.

This print is weird..you'd need a very high wall to properly display it. After staring at the image for 5 mins I still can't figure out if I like it or not. Which might be a good thing with art. Or not. This fucks with my head. Make it stop!
House of cards is one of my favourites. Mine too. As a cardplayer myself, having recently bought a house with the love of my life, it really speaks to me personally and us in general. A child facing another one, misshaped and blurry. It could makes you think about a lot of things, up to the viewer personality (philosophical questions, what's up with your dreams, do i have to grow, etc...) Core of Dran's work.
Way more elaborated, technically, than his other prints.
Plus, diptych presentation is unusual and fit well with this piece.
That said, i will not go for it but it's a bit of fresh air regarding his previous show and prints.
We are back on track with this Dran, clearly better than his last two releases.
