Got email from Micallef (from an email sent 3 months ago - must be soooooo busy, appreciated the responce though) he said that his next piece would be next week, would probably be more in POW control though and I would be thinking this week.

Friday may be a good day to go as i recieved a email from paul insect today stating that he would def be dropping off more unsigned elvis,sid & jimi print's.(that's if you are interested.)??
I'm interested in an Elvis print (signed or unsigned), but live in the US . Is there anyone planning to go to the Ghetto on Friday who would be willing to purchase one for me? I would pay you back, of course.

I personally feel that would be a nice touch to give other collectors a chance. Selling at SG is much, much easier for POW staff though so you can't blame them if they don't bother. What a great situationist art comedy concept piece.. there's never been an art riot ? Imagine, Oxford Street, Xmas, 1000 signed prints under 100 quid, a saturday morning press release to local, national and international press, a new outdoor Banksy sculpture piece unveiled bang on oxford street, a couple of mail outs to activist websites and art critics and the ball starts rolling.. before you know it, there's a riot on oxford street to rival that of the poll tax chaos ! and all in the name of art consumerism!!! ha ha.. genius. He'd go down in the history of Art as far more than a footnote !!! do it Banksy, do it !

Santa's Ghetto 2006, by ziggy on Dec 14, 2006 13:23:09 GMT 1, Lucy Mclauchlan finally came into the Ghetto and signed the 'Forest' prints, run of 250 at £100 each. I'm pretty sure they are all signed, went on sale yesterday afternoon, got one when I left work at 6pm. Sure they will sell out but not for a day or so. Nice print, sort of looks better on the wall (which is good) than it does flat, the metallic silver ink can sometime disappear. Sorry I don't have a pic to post but I'm sure there must be one kicking around somewhere.

PS - The guy with the 3 stripes on the back of his jumper is me. Not sure if i saw any of you. Not sure what to do. Shall I hang around or get the train back to Leicester. If I dont get back soon I'll have to wait till after 7.... Bought the 'cheap' ticket at 40....

Sorry no photo but its the skull and paintbrush with red rifle sights around the skull eyesockets. ( The image was also used on the flyer for the Fopp show on Tottenham Court Road, I've got one somewhere and will post it as a pic if I can find it )

I bought a Pete Fowler Bonro in silver too, it's a classy piece of art and a skillful print job, nice to have it out of an edition of just 40 too!
It reminds me of the classic hippy 60's posters that were printed black on silver foil, like some here,
