Art print storage advice, by Skinner on Jan 11, 2017 11:36:32 GMT 1, Hi all
I'm moving to Australia and I have a number of prints that i am storing here due to the fact we'll only be over there for 2-3 years then home.
Has anyone got any advice as to how to store my art prints (typical screen printing art) which aren't framed?
I've read about acid free paper - can people please advise on what ones are the best (or just work) and then obviously I will keep them flat
Are they ok to be in an Art wallet if I put acid free paper in between each print (e.g.: Acid paper then print then acid paper then print on top of each other etc)
Any advice appreciated - I don't want to come back to the prints ruined
Cheers

Art print storage advice, by msobel3 on Jan 11, 2017 16:30:33 GMT 1, Make sure the place where you gonna leave them for 2-3 years is water and fire free. If not, consider storing them somewhere safer. ^ Very good point.

Art print storage advice, by A.R.T. on Jan 12, 2017 5:48:17 GMT 1, I am currently having to relocate my art storage area to a room that will have a washer and dryer. I am thinking this might not be the greatest or safest idea but due to a growing family this is my only option. I'll probably buy a dehumidifier for the room. What are your guys thoughts or suggestions?

What are your guys thoughts or suggestions? Have you considered selling them before they become damaged? I guess the plus is that your pieces will smell downy fresh.

That would mean liquidating a lot of my collection. Plus I like to swap out art that is on the walls from time to so I will still need a storage area. Here is the area right now. Its a bit messy as I am in the middle of relocating everything.
