Congratulations on a clear sales thread! I can see it's well framed but I don't like the frame to be honest but the image is strong.
May I ask why you got it framed without seeking approval? Or did you hope she would "come round" once it was home?

As you have since adjusted that, which I think is more respectful, I apologise for the mild trolling, and wish you luck.

Most of these seem to of come up on the secondary market so nice to see someone framing there`s - even if you are now selling

From then on I didn't see much benefit in holding onto it when we can find another MW that we both like. It's a lovely frame and Gary did a superb job - so hopefully it's priced fairly. Offers are always welcome. Good try.... I am sure MFM did a great job - its just not my cup of tea - assume it suits where you wished to hang it so thats why framing (same as art) is personal!
GLWTS - its a strong image and I hope it goes to a good home..... also good luck with the replacement MW replacement - there are a number of good images out there and some of his collaborations are also good (the ones with Snik are good in my opinion).

I think the frame would have worked with an antique style gold mount over the white border.
Altho i'm not too keen on Whatson's art with people in it.
The effect works well with his animal subjects and still lifes.

Martin Whatson - Still life #1, by phischa on Jan 23, 2017 21:09:19 GMT 1, I quite like the framing by having a real tagged oil still life (without the border of course). I've seen some originals from MW which looked impressive. The effect is lost by printing both, the still life and the tags.

I never understand this, unless the buyer asks specifically. It's a nice guide for others on the forum.
A simple 'SOLD in the header would suffice.
