Just, Yes, I saw all of you working there ( I call you rasta crew - with your dreads - , it s not pejorative at all as reggae si still my best music ) on the pic of Alaa...
This is a great team anyway, with a lot of talented artists !

No dreads for lush, cant imagine him being the next artist, would be a mad space.. but we'll soon find out. Im heading back on 16th so hopefully the madness dies down before then. As you know, or not, I am a big fan of Lush, this man can do everything and made crazy videos where he threw on himself a can of paint lol or doing fights too ! it is funny that this mini walls ( As everybody knows - or not - Banksy is a great mate of Lush and met him in Melbourne when He lived there for a while. ) appears with the WOH. Since the beggining I am wondering if it's not Lushux that bring the ideas, the supports as he has done that since years with graffiti diorama ( trains, buildings ) etc... But I think his whole idea behind the hotel really worked out, opening people's eyes, getting their awareness for the conflict in the area. When you travel there and bring people with you that have never been to this area before, take them on the Walking-Tour and into the Museum, they really raise their focus on the whole conflict situation between Israel and Palestine. I think in Europe or in the US only very few people know about the situation and have actual no clue at all how people in Palestine suffer, as the media here does not show it. Of course the Gift Shop is playing a major role of getting people there, especially for their first visit. But once you have been there, met the people, built connections or even friendships, got aware of the situation, enjoyed the country and the culture, enjoyed the WOH cappuccino and the breakfast, I think most of the visitors would even come back without the Gift Shop. Have you been there yet?

I'm not saying that Banksy is the Messiah, I'm saying that it's his fans or forum members ( here per example ) who " are waiting for him as a Messiah"

The guys with the Dreds can be seen on alaa_taxi_driver_bethlehem 's instagram page. No idea how to put that up. They seemed to be well known by the Hotel staff, so loved the rumour mill going about. I had heard the same about the 4 days of intrigue, but nothing concrete, made the stay more fun though. I can recommend a great day we had visiting Jerusalem with a Guide from Green Olive Tours. Incredibly informative and knowledgeable, as you would expect from a guide, and very balanced talk. The old city is lovely, with time spent drinking Arab Coffee and watching the world go by, it was very special. Also the must see (for me) religious sites. I can send anyone the details of our guide if you want it, DM me. I will post the wall section I got in the correct thread when I work out how to do it.

As above, its good to sit in hotel or outside with a beer.
The Peace Centre Restraunt on Manger Square does good food and draft and bottled beer; good place to sit and watch life go by as the square is always bustling.
Never found any pubs as such but every eating place we went to served cold beer.
