Brexit

Brexit, by Deleted on Mar 29, 2019 12:09:16 GMT 1, I see you haven't answered my question. But regarding the Theresa May election of 2017 (and the one before that, and the one before that) I seem to remember that the result was implemented so that doesn't really equate with a second EU referendum where the first referendum was not implemented. Your question was loaded as ever, so negated any point it may have had. Are multiple elections undemocratic, no they are not, if they are needed they are needed. Nothing undemocratic about going back to the people. Not sure why you are jumping on the idea i didnt answer anyway, ive lost count of the things you have chosen to ignore as you have no answer! You are still trying to compare two different scenarios that are unrelated to one another. Each general election is implemented...and then superseded by another general election which is also implemented. Therefore multiple elections *are* democratic. That bears no relation to a second referendum where the first referendum is ignored. I'm not arguing for Brexit here. I am arguing for rationality and logic.

Brexit, by Deleted on Mar 29, 2019 12:15:04 GMT 1, Last night's Newsnight show was very entertaining...
I like Emily's response where she says "Oh God" in the manner of just having seen a car crash with mangled bodies on the road. This will drag on for years. And will only get worse. You ain't seen nothing yet.

People with dual nationality are always welcome to leave the UK if they hate the place so much. Ps. Have you burnt your British passport yet?

Brexit, by mojo on Mar 30, 2019 14:53:36 GMT 1, People with dual nationality are always welcome to leave the UK if they hate the place so much. Ps. Have you burnt your British passport yet? Just because I have dual nationality does not mean I relish standing by watching the country I was born and raised in go to the dogs, all it affords me is the freedom that my UK passport currently allows. I haven't burnt it yet as I'm hoping that a compromise is possible to allow ALL UK passport holders to retain their freedom, identity and dignity. I regularly leave the UK and have lived, studied and worked all over the world. I just don't believe or want to be part of such an insular ideology that is Brexit.
