Duties on returned goods to the EU?, by jtk on Jun 15, 2017 15:42:43 GMT 1, I recently returned some artwork to the EU from the US, and the gallery has invoiced me for the customs duties on this item. They will not accept the item until these fees are paid. I don't mind paying this, as long as I am eligible to process a claim for refund on these fees. My questions are whether these fees should be the responsibility of the gallery and, if I decide to pay, will I be able to claim the refund (or does the gallery need to process on my behalf)?
