Some seriously good art & the sense of theatre & large scale of the event worked.
Considering what was going on, Shepard was super relaxed & found time to speak with/ pose for pics with most of those inside.
Also caught up with Retna who was on top form.
That was how to do an opening.

anyway, glad i went to the gallery opening & stand for 3 hours, without experience it in person, i have no idea how big deal shep is.

Anyone else going to be there? I'll be all alone, Ive never been to LA before- I know LSC will try and get me driunk- This sounds like such a good idea! PS get ready for all the best stuff from POW to drop while I'm on a plane. Is it worth it- probably.

While I have no plans on selling the artwork purchased from the show- I would hardly call it affordable- in fact while I might act tough- the piece I purchased is a considerable investment for me. It's worth more than my car! If they want to make it buyer friendly they should at least be upfront about this before taking my money, or offer to purchase the artwork back at cost within that time frame. Just my 2 cents.

A friend (not a collector)went to the opening and bought me two one color (black ink on white paper) prints...both signed but neither are numbered.
Smaller one might be a letterpress?
Anyone have any info on what these were/how many were produced etc?
