My guess Signed prints, but of local artists. That day is going to be a F5 nightmare regardless.

You would need to reissue every single print ever issued, in every single colorway, including the VIP prints, in the right specs of paper, size etc...

Because if not the ones that have not been resissued become all the more expensive and rare, thus making the whole thing a bit pointless

If there was anything hugely flippable in that shop it would be an bit sad as all the travelers would be there purely for mercantile reasons which makes the concept a bits**t imo

I am dying to go there and working hard on it, but if it becomes long queue for flippers I'm out (mind it will be easy to find a few poor kids to queue for the lazy flippers...)

Mmmmm I don't think it would effect the values that much.
it might even make them rise more in the long run, is it would make the images more famous and encourage more people to want the original unsigned and signed versions.

I wouldn't be surprised about a re print. As we know Banksy is usually the last person to profit from his work and big collections have been sold in the last few years (Steve lazarides) . I think them two are still very tight. Steve wanted to do an overseas art event for ages in suggested places as turkey and Russia but due to the climate well you get my drift. Steve has been very vocal about Banksy when he has been silent. PR/ insider trading or both.

Open edition--limited time-- signed would be a dream. Would be waaaaaay too much signing

The financial value, but not necesssarily the sentimental value. But, it would depend...

I have "only" one print and I'm not rich. I would laugh if he would be killing the market. No problem. But, I would definitively not laugh if he was doing it only with prints.

Rich "VIPs" with great big unique canvas would see the value of them increase and the average Joe who spared money to buy prints would be fucked financially. I very much doubt he would to that.

Things look better with a price tag: no problem if he kills that for me. But, in his case, it looks a lot better if he is kind of a heroe. Cynical, but doing stuff like the "Walled off hotel". Killing the price of prints of the average Joe and letting untouched the price of things owned by the super rich...Ouch...I don't believe that...

For me, "ni dieu ni maître", but the value of Banksy artworks (financial and sentimental) is really dependant of how you perceive him and all his output...

You do realise these are the people he does commissions for worth millions, right? He would mostly 'stick it' to both his early fans and the people that saved up money to own a Banksy.
