Sending a tube from USA to Europe, by Artforfun on Sept 9, 2017 16:55:09 GMT 1, Hi guys,
I've used the search function but cant find an answer unfortunately so I thought Id pick your brains here.
I'm trying to send a tube from the US to Europe - has anyone experiences with this and can suggest a good shipping company?
Shipping time isnt really important (as long as it arrives...thus would like to have tracking / insurance).
Thanks for your help

Sending a tube from USA to Europe, by dani on Sept 9, 2017 17:04:20 GMT 1, I recently sent a tube from NYC to UK. I didn't check FedEx prices, but USPS is much cheaper than UPS.

Sending a tube from USA to Europe, by Deleted on Sept 9, 2017 17:15:51 GMT 1, I usually use USPS Priority Mail Express International and double tube. Never had a problem, usually gets there in three or so days. I used the more expensive Global Express Guaranteed once and they lost my package for a week. Received a refund claim on shipping though after the package arrived.

They won't if you mark it as a gift and put a low value on it. That is risk concerning the Insurance though.
Putting a $50 value on a gift package will make a difficult discussion when your 5K print gets lost or damaged.

Sending a tube from USA to Europe, by poplux on Sept 9, 2017 19:17:25 GMT 1, I had more than 25 tubes from USA to Europe. 0 lost. But I prefer to receiver from USPS for the cost. DHL for the tracking, and I hate UPS.

UPS will just kick it all the way to its destination Haha you are not far off there mat UPS are sh#t. I have used just about every postal company on the planet. The best i have ever used was JPS but thats only good if you are getting stuff shipped from Japan. Next over all would be DHL but quite expensive. I have found USPS priority to be fine and have only ever had one problem but it ended in a win as i got fully refunded plus the print.. I would use USPS priority if i was in your shoes..

Sending a tube from USA to Europe, by Ruggs on Sept 11, 2017 7:35:23 GMT 1, I recently had a poster sent from California via USPS Priority shipping (around $80). The packaging was completely bomb proof. Tube inside a bulky triangular construction. It got to the UK within a couple of days, but it sat in customs for over a week. I finally went to pick it up from a local Parcelforce centre. No packaging problems whatsoever. Customs charge was ยฃ25.00.

Sending a tube from USA to Europe, by The True Cubs Fan on Sept 11, 2017 8:40:39 GMT 1, I've sent it USPS priority, bought insurance for just over the full value just in case and required a signature. Great service, tracking available, and insured. Yes you might have to pay taxes but if something happens would rather have paid the slight bit of taxes and get all my money back than have "saved" on taxes and have $50 sent my way

Sending a tube from USA to Europe, by .dappy on Sept 11, 2017 10:08:00 GMT 1, ... I have sent tubes (some longer than 1.2m) and boxes to Australia, America and Europe and used UPS ... they were great for me ... and the receiver who could follow the tracking that actually worked ...
... I think every postal and courier service has it crap days and weeks ...
