Already done - and yes it's that simple! No need to be suckered into paying silly money, even if people can't make it, with the market flooded the prices will continue to fall!

This was a great idea of Mr B to get people visiting once again, I am sure since the shop opened booking's have gone through the roof, although I guess plenty are now only going for one reason... (the amount of sales threads and ebay listing tells a tale)

To be honest I think it looks rubbish anyway. But if you like it and you don't want to travel their to get one then buying from eBay or flippers is the only option. Banksy obviously wants it this way or they would be available for sale online direct.

Banksys intent is very interesting with these.

They are "unlimited, un-numbered and un-signed" Banksy's words not mine! The amount of these on the secondary market would suggest that people are not having to much trouble in buying "some" when they visit.

This can’t be it. It just can’t. Otherwise it’s banksy being selfish and arrogant.
If the goal of the hotel is to bring awareness to the terror pain and problems of the area how does releasing a ‘print’ and having rich people Soley coming to flip it or obtain a banksy and make a profit do anything.
It doesn’t.

Banksy doesn't want people to buy his prints off eBay because they don't want to go out...... He wants to reward people with a little souvenir who bother to go out and see for themselves exactly what's happening, isn't that the point?
If they sell then that wasn't Banksy's intention, he just wants to get people to see what's happening!
Anyway, peace to the people of Palestine.... they (not their or there) deserve it.

I think you are being not naive when it comes to banksy. He doesn’t deserve to be coddled. There is a reason he hasn’t released a print for almost a decade.
To think he doesn’t think this through is kind of insulting to him...

I don't think I'm being naive, or that he hasn't thought it through, or that I'm coddling him.
I think he's well aware of what people are like and how they'll behave, I just think it isn't his priority, in this instance at least, to attempt to avoid or minimise such behaviour.
If the recent merchandise releases (and let's not kid ourselves, that's what they are, however much people might want to imagine they're something else) have achieved his objective of getting more people to Palestine then it's job done.
Why should Banksy take responsibility for the idiocy of certain individuals? Your only argument seems to be you think he should do this because it matters to you. You aren't really thinking about his motivations, only your own.
I suspect (though obviously I don't know) that he had a good idea what would happen and considered it a price worth paying for his greater objective of getting people to the hotel. I also suspect he thinks, as it seems do most reasonable observers, that this will all settle down once the secondary market is flooded and people realise that the realistic secondary market rate for a box set isn't going to make them rich and certainly isn't, in itself, enough to justify a trip to Palestine. Honestly, these will be like Dismaland balloons in a few months and we'll wonder what all the fuss was about. Should he not have done Dismaland because people flipped the damn balloons and every other scrap of paper they picked up off the floor?
He can't control secondary market lunacy other than, as you say, by not releasing limited edition work. So why should he worry about it? It's just another crazy thing crazy people do.

Yes let’s just get people there to see the hotel? What kind of lazy answer is that.
Mr. Rich man come to my hotel and pick up your print! Then if you choose please flip it on eBay! While here it’s okay to ignore that big wall. Maybe take a few photos for your Instagram and Facebook to show your friends.
And while your at it ignore the oppression, the murder, the wars because you know what I got you to come to my hotel! Bravo banksy bravo!
Not....

Not....

Banksy • Box Set, Walled Off Hotel, by rockbeer on Oct 6, 2017 1:23:56 GMT 1, I don't think I'm being naive, or that he hasn't thought it through, or that I'm coddling him. Try not to be more stupid than you can help - though clearly it's very difficult for you.
Did you actually read what I wrote? Clearly not. Okay, try the following:
1. Some people will go for a print but find something else when they get there. This is happening - people are saying so on these very boards.
2. Rich people (and wannabe rich people) will stop going just to buy prints when they realise the prints are essentially worthless.
3. You go to Bethlehem it's very f**king hard to 'ignore the wall'.
4. He doesn't want people to go 'to see the hotel'. What kind of an utterly thoughtless answer is that? You can't seriously be suggesting this is for his ego. The point of the hotel is to get people to go and see Palestine. Surely even you can see that?
By the way, I'm sure you have your motivations, and you're as entitled to them as anyone else, but what pleasure do you get from deliberately and wilfully misrepresenting people rather than addressing the actual points they're making? Your whole post is basically a refutation of the precise opposite of my argument.
Weird.
