The solution to this conflict, that has been ongoing for many years, is not going to be solved on UAA. Many forum members have visited Israel and Palestine and want nothing more than peace for all.
Perhaps if you feel it necessary to comment on these atrocities go to a newspaper comments section, write to your MP, join a likeminded group, make art about it but endorsing murder of anyone is unacceptable and grotesque.

The roof knocking method has actually limited civilian casualties. The US also used it in Mosul during the war against ISIS. The BBC reported that Israel has been sending instructions and maps to Gazans telling them where to go to evade the upcoming fighting. Of course these measures are not enough to prevent civilian deaths but at least they are doing something to limit them, btw at cost of their own soldiers and objectives.

This is of course overly simplified but the point is that the drafters of those rules were aware that they needed to account for the possibility that civilian buildings, schools etc are used militarily. It is well known that the HQ of Hamas was (maybe still is, I donโt know) underneath a hospital (which is of course in breach of humanitarian law). There needs to be proportionality, loss of civilian life cannot be excessive. The roof knocking method has actually limited civilian casualties. No one in these threads has condoned the actions of Hamas, or at any time shown them support. What you appear to want to shut down is sympathy for ordinary Palestinian people. I'm still waiting for my apology. I think you have it backwards. I believe the outrage stems from exactly the lack of sympathy the world exhibits for ordinary Israelis. I truly believe that a massacre of this dimension would have resulted in shows of solidarity from people everywhere were it not committed against Israelis. There is hardly a single Israeli/Jew that does not know someone who knows someone that was either killed or injured or is missing. The whiff of antisemitism is very strong, where are the lit candles, the changed Facebook profiles etc we saw after attacks on USA, UK, France ( all with blood on their hands) instead we get, it's awful but .... I don't condone it but ....and worst of all ordinary Jewish people feeling unsafe and unsupported, just look at the celebrations in places like London of these terrible attacks The world is becoming a awful place |
