That's precisely how I felt when I read it too. I'm sure when I was reading something about the internal inquest POW carried out, that there was a warning to beware of being offered prints where you have to contact a specific person to ask about provenance. His hint at there being a specific person who can "vouch" for the print made me a little nervous. I have a feeling it's affected the price too in this case.
Still have a slightly bad feeling about it, if I'm honest.

Not knocking the guys prints as I've not seen them, but there could be alot more to this than we are being told, just something to bear in mind.

Why, was Eine working in the birmingham printers that did the queen vics? These were printed in birmingham, pre POW and distributed through PMYC, just thought it worth a mention. ( the same printers that are responsible for the vast majority of the backdoor prints floating about). Not knocking the guys prints as I've not seen them, but there could be alot more to this than we are being told, just something to bear in mind. |

He apparently took the print to POW who verified it original and then logged the sellers name against it.
IMO this sale was 100% Legitimate, the print, number and signature all look spot on, and the reason given by the seller for registering recently in his name sounds fine! He also stated that Dora would not give written confirmation of their actions which I also know to be the case!
IMO the best buy/bargain had on Ebay this year! ยฃ3900 for an early 2003 pen signed Banksy that would have cost ยฃ7500-ยฃ8500 only 3 months ago!!!!!!!

I have been speaking to the seller who is currently trying to sort out what is going on. The print and provenance both look good, looks like a duplicate number snafu, this is in the process of being sorted out. POW have confirmed they sold that number to where he bought it. |

I've an unsigned Banksy Western Super Mare for sale. I bought it from the Tom Tom gallery in 2004. I had it framed in white by the same framers Tom Tom used straight away so is in perfect condition. I am happy for the buyer to collect from my home in London (i'd actually prefer this). I think it would be safest to take it out of the frame if I posted it, but it would be a shame as the frame is great. Please PM me with offers.
