Novelty value only, should have been destroyed by the old printers, but a few got out. Disowned by Banksy, POW, LAZ and 99.9% of collectors.. nice, but not 700 quid nice IMO.

Out of interest, how do people know that this is a back door print? Its all in Japanese when I look at it and I know there were AP's in green sold by LAZ, is there a way of translating the Japanese or did someone email them about it?

General, being sold it was not, it is sample color edition for the test. The color which was sold was the gradation of the grey. Edition number is not stated, but the proper the printing quantity is the extremely small quantity.

I have seen NoiseKing before... I have a feeling that they don't ship outside Japan, which could throw a spanner in anyway. I may be wrong.
I bought one of these ( www.noiseking.com/shopdetail/005000000028/order/ ) and the artist said I'd have to buy directly from them, rather than NoiseKing due to the shipping issue.
I own a copy of the Green verison of Weston. I'm a bit of a lone voice on this one, but I really love it. It cost me less than this one - but it still wasn't what you'd call cheap! For a while, I regretted it and considered selling/swapping, due to the general bad feeling about its origins... but after a while I concluded that it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks as long as I like it.
The guys are right that it's back door through-and-through. But for me, I consider it to be another piece of the Banksy story - part of the history. So it still has value - just not in the same way as the officially sanctioned ones. Oh, and I think it looks blo*dy good. 
I've finally got the number of a good framer in Londinium, and I'm planning to get it done asap - I'll post pics on "Get your (backdoor) Banksy's out..."

I think you probably saw them on TOM TOM's website. Supposedly 8 were made, but I've seen more than that myself..but like I said, as far as I'm aware they're 100% backdoor and have been disowned by Banksy/laz/Pow etc..

She said it looked about right to her, and I could send it her if I wanted and she'll take a closer look. Although she also said without stamp or numbers, its gonna be tricky to give it a definative history. Not sure whether to bother or not, I'm thinking it will prove fruitless!
