Parra Sliding Doors Print, by ditisdeleven on Dec 15, 2017 8:28:08 GMT 1, Usually with screen printing, and it seems to apply to Parra's previous screen prints, ink either goes through the screen or not, which leaves a color uniform and plain where it was intended to be. In an effort to do a print that looks closer to the look and feel of the original painting, some ink layers show some transparency in some spots while being opaque elsewhere. That's the "scuffed" effect you'll see on his OGs that weren't part of his prints up until this one. I don't have the print to describe it, but from the pic just above, you can clearly see it in the hair of the ladies.. Hope it makes sense.

Yup. I used to be into trainers 10+ years ago and the art game is very similar. People were size 8 feet buying size 12 JUST to flip. Lining up 2 days early, etc. Just a mess. I got out of it some years ago though but rlook where I ended up? 
The sneaker manufacturers knew the popularity though and made limited runs which boosted the exclusivity and the hype. Jordan Brand who would come out re-release a retro once every 5 years or so started re-releasing them much more frequently and with larger runs. That actually slowed down a lot of hype. But the really exclusive collabos like Kanye's, Nike x Off White are flip drops. Most are buying to flip.
