There were two versions, I purchased one at the museum when paying a visit. I don't know whether the first was pulled or sold out but I suspect the former. The second version is the only one I've seen for resale. Don't pay silly money for it if someone asks you to, not worth it. Here's the first version

The photoshopped clean background or the one with the shadow? Are those the two versions you’re talking about?

This is what the Bristol Museum had to say about the prints:

”We had a few samples made which included the floor/wall and then a small batch that had the background photoshopped out. We sold a handful in the shop and then a handful online in total. None were sent out in the recent Jan spike in interest. We had agreed with Banksy's team not to print (on demand) and ship any of the orders. We removed the few we had in the shop from sale and destroyed them. We had to delete all the data too so sorry I don't have an exact number that existed.”

Banksys market is the most bizarre thing.

These posters are released and everyone flips. They are found out to be non authorized so everyone then flops. Now they are limited and also unauthorized and people are flipping again about rarity.

Hello everybody

I have been offered a Paint Pot Angel in Germany and wasn't totally sure how legitimate or what it might be worth. The person selling it has asked for €1000. Thanks very much. I know it was only sold for a very short time when it originally came out. 

Thanks Kevin, much appreciated. I guess I was just trying to judge if it looked legitimate and I had no idea how much it was worth. The persons selling it seems like a decent seller. Thanks again.

I gave away one of my prints 2 weeks ago. Your pictures look good to me. But be careful. There are also some fakes in circulation. The best way to recognise them is by the sticker on the back. Look for the Bristol museums logo. In the original version, the stickers are printed on brown natural paper, the copies have white stickers. However, the logo is copied from a "brown template". You can see this because the original brown colour is still visible in the circle of the logo - but the rest of the sticker is white. That is quite obvious. I hope this helps you.

I think you may have had a sense of humour by pass. My comment about the price was tongue in cheek. I listed a Banksy Silver Flags was happy to list my price. FS listings used to include this information, maybe your side of collecting is different.

Although dan993c2 posted a very dick'ish reply... it is worth noting that people do find it frustrating when a seller doesn't post a price. You'll stimulate more interest when your expectations are clearer.
