stamp on this blokes monkey queen, was it introduced mid way through the run or are there fakes about....?!

I was wondering about that! I don't believe MQ sold out at POW until at least late Nov / early Dec 2005, but they still weren't stamping them I believe.

Maybe it was stamped as it was being sent abroad??

On mine 295/750 bought 2 years ago, there is no tag or stamp. I think my bro bought it at Santa's Ghetto for my christmas pesent.I'm sure he said it came from a shop with graffti on it if i remember rightly and he was always looking in there for bits.I'll ask him and find out.

Just got email explaining the Limited Edition numbers, and how they have change over the last few years

Old Banksy prints were an edition of i.e. 750, of that 750 total, 150 were signed, so what happened is we had an excel spreadsheet for turf war starting from number 1 all the way through to number 750, as people bought the prints their name was entered into the spreadsheet against the number they were given. There were two columns on the spreadsheet one for signed and the other for unsigned and as someone bought a signed print they were allocated the next number but a tick was added in the signed print column, this continued until 150 signed prints were sold.

This was fine when we were selling 2 prints a week and I think you can understand why this is not the system we currently use. That’s why the signed prints of Turf War and Monkey Queen are out of 750.

As for the new edition such as Gangsta Rat, the total print run was 500, of that 500 there are 2 editions. A signed edition of 150 and an unsigned edition of 350.

yep, Forbidden Planet are comic shops. I used to go the the one in bristol MANY moons ago (half way up park St - now a spanky new one much further up the top of the hill). There's one in croydon and some in central London I presume....

There's a signed one on ebay at moment £200 with no bids yet and 1 day 22 hrs to go. Also an unsigned on for £600 buy it now. Don't know whats going on there but if your interested mate.

I put a last minute bid on Banksy-of-England's Monkey Queen print last night.....did'nt win it, but I knocked the price up by an extra £15 for him.

ha ha, weird,I did the same.. even though I have the signed one i thought wow it's gonna go for 311 quid.. so I placed a max bid of 401..think it went for 411 in the end.

Gutted I missed that one on ebay for 260, just missed out but it was 5 am here when the auction went down so I was gutted

Dont think they were too bad though were they? the script said 2 minor creases, £260 still looks good. Do these come up often?
