For me I have been enjoying this print for some years now, and at the end of the day its a smallish print. To swap in its place a large 3D Neate piece is a good decision. OK you can talk about values and all that s**t, but at the end of the day its what I want on the wall that counts. And its not a mad Neate stampede for me, like I said I have been thinking about this for quite some time. This new show has finally made the decision for me, however getting someone to swap is a whole different problem!
If ever I had a regret, then it's turning down a a pair of Neate canvasses for 600 and 900 quid. I'd have gladly given both for (another) CWS

CWSB, whats it worth?20k - well thats the price now of the cheapest gallery piece by Neate so its right in that aspect. Who knows, 20 years down the line the Neate may still be only worth 20k and the Banksy 100k but who cares as long as you get enjoyment from them, You cant take them to the grave and the tax man would get 40% if you past them to the kids and they sold them. The reasons for wanting to swap are purely based on what art I want on my walls, and nothing to do with what money I stand to make or lose.
If I wished to keep the Banksy 'image' on my wall, I could easily paint on exact replica.
However there is no way I could make a 3D style Neate to put on my wall, trust me, I have tried!

CWS is an amazing piece and it must have been a big decision to let it go. Unfortunately I dont think it will tempt anyone to sell a gallery piece my advice would be to work on Elms for the next show if you can raise the money.
