When I saw a donuts going for ยฃ6-7k it made me think rats gotta be worth a few bob
gangsta cost me ยฃ350 back in 06! and I splashed out ยฃ600 on the love rat a year later
I will drop that chap in the gallery an email - I would like to have some idea of what I have got!

That was the night of hurricane sandy though so maybe kept some rich east coast bidders away - was also before BOTI but that's still a nice increase in price!

Though having said that Banksy is hot in auction houses and so a degree of auction fever may help a sale there.

It may be worth mentioning that some auction houses are not as knowledgeable as others on current pricing and also that others will often give the prospective seller a high estimate knowing that if the lot does not sell they will still get a percentage of the lower reserve / entry fee and any other charges incurred from the prospective seller. Course, if it does sell at auction there is the sellers fee and other charges to consider. Though having said that Banksy is hot in auction houses and so a degree of auction fever may help a sale there. Good luck anyhow. |
