Anyone ever figure why some Are numbered/stamped on bottom right while others on bottom left?

I guess, stamping and numbering 500 plus prints will make you a bit lazy and careless. And if i got that job i would do one or two on the odd place also

Mines numbered bottom left. I've also seen them bottom right. Interestly though cmodarts appears to be pre-POW stamp. Seen a few of those too. Best one I've seen is Laz's one at his show which as well as being one of the signed editions it also has the 'BANKSY' stamp on it too.

Love Rat was available at Pictures On Walls for a good 18 months or so — as from the end of 2004, and about a year before the company introduced its blind stamp / embossing chop.

The screenprints weren't stamped (in the case of those sold after late-2005) and numbered all at the same time. You'd be ill-advised to stack dozens or hundreds of embossed prints on top of each other. Instead, individual stamping, numbering and record-taking of purchaser details took place as and when a print was sold, i.e. over a period of around a year and a half.

There was therefore plenty of scope for inconsistencies in the physical placement of the stamp and edition number, since this could vary according to the identity, mood and sobriety of the staff member tasked with the job on any given day.
