Love reading these old stories. A few years later than yours.., but we sold our house made profit and I emailed one of the US galleries for the price on their Signed GWB. It was US$14k and the exchange rate was awesome I said to the wife we should buy this, for my daughter and it will be her uni fund investment.. can’t remember the words but probably ‘don’t be so fucking ridiculous, it’s a piece of paper etc etc..

Nope, I wrote to a friend, its a product from the museum ( they sell postcards and I don't know what ) - contrary at the Frieder Burda one who was approved by Banksy ( copyright is on it ), I read that on the official flyer of the museum. I was hoping it has some kind of authentication like the wooden postcards from British Museum but apart from being from the "official" webshop of Staatsgalerie Stuttgart (museum showing the original piece) there is no visible relation.

Just they had not to sell it on the web.
Then ( for security reason I guess ) it has been moved to Stuttgart, and it will stay there for ever . Knowing German people ( they are cool indeed, but straight ) and this kind of Contemporary Museum, this is very serious and they won't take the risk to make an unauthorised " exhibition "... So this is more than legal I guess.
