Best way to ship big flat packed print? , by biglebowski on Jun 21, 2018 16:47:41 GMT 1, Not too sure if I am posting this in the right area of the forum... Looking for advice from anyone in the UK. I have a large print which is flat packed, the dimensions are L 150cm, W 90cm, H 1cm with a weight of 4.5kg. DHL are quoting me ยฃ130 to send it in the UK... Which sounds a bit pricey. Is there a more economical way to send it, whilst still using a good courier who will treat it with care? I really don't want to roll it into a tube! Thanks

I use them down here for larger things and have never had any problems, plus they use DHL anyway as their carrier. Here is a link to all there offices in the UK. www.packsend.co.uk/store-list.php. I have just used them to send something to the UK and it was around 25-30% cheaper than dealing directly with DHL.. Good luck..

Best way to ship big flat packed print? , by andyroo0312 on Jun 23, 2018 2:47:34 GMT 1, Ply would be my advice from experience Without a doubt use ply. it is heavier but it will make no difference to the price as when packages are this large they go on volumetric weight. I shipped a large print to the UK that was smaller than the OP,s and the volumetric weight was 16kg even tho the package its self was only 8kg. So beefing up the packaging to 16kg would of made no difference in the price..
