Sorry if this has already been addressed. Has any that applied for a print via the Tate had a response yet?

Just for anyone who hasn’t cottoned on bobs Schtick is passing on dud information and laughing at this forum and the people who use it, once or twice at the beginning it was funny, then it was dull, now it’s just spiteful. I would suggest ignoring as much as possible.

Professor of drawing at the Royal Academy what a joke. It shows how the people running the RA and curators are so far up the arseholes of the big investors dealers and auction houses.

Where i'm coming from it's called critical thinking.
Lots of people read the threads on this forum and it's easy for people to accept everything without thinking and analysing what is behind the art and the methods of selling art.
I agree people should not be swayed by my opinions but there again if people are saying only opinions that go along with the sales pitch are allowed on a public forum, maybe they should set up a private group by invite only where they can hype whatever they feel like. It's a public forum. Comments are allowed.
anyway you could at least read this article.

How do you want these members to respond to the information you're providing? Are you willing to share artists and artworks that you believe are worthy? I just don't see what the point is and why you continue to provide the same information repeatedly. Is this what trolling looks like?

Is that while they wait for the decision makers of Heni to come back from holiday? What could possibly make their process take 2 weeks? Laughable that people are prepared to accept that.

Hirst is a brand, I think Laolu (did he copy his name from 5th element?) got a lovely bit of publicity from this. he was able to get his name out on the back of a brand. He does spout a load of shit in the article, you agree right?

On any wall they are a statement piece. If you didn't buy one then you think you dodged a bullet - good for you. If you bought to flip then good for you there is profit in there (TBC the amount) for sure. Obtuse metaphysical conversations around what is art are great but can't and should not dilute the pieces being bought at the moment. 👌 Now you're being obtuse

He does spout a load ofs**t in the article, you agree right?
No he is genuine (Laolu) and he called Hirst out publicly for good reason. The Hirst sculpture is too close a copy of the African Yoruba bronze which is part of the artists cultural heritage.
He writes "it’s no longer guns, you're using your status to steal what’s not yours and claim it as your own original art and ideas and profit off it."
and he is right. Hirst is practicing a form of artistic colonialism, stealing what he wants from artists and cultural artefacts and just branding his own name on it. It's lazy it is unimaginative and it is unintelligent. Hirst got well schooled by Saatchi in how to sell anything using the media and people in on it to create positive media stories.
As far as Hirst is concerned it's all about the money and all about making money.
It's a good enough racket in getting in with people running hedge funds and getting them to buy the pieces Hirst had knocked out by assistants in some sort of production line. Spin paintings and spot paintings and diamonds and cocaine dead sheep and cows and a pickled shark big statues copied from small statues by other people hyped up promoted as brand Hirst by uber mega big galleries and dealers. Yes it's all smoke and mirrors cleverly done by a group working together to get the very wealthy to part with their money.
They think they are buying into something special something that puts them above the little people. Oh look dahling look look at my Worhole. Look at my Hirst it's all the same. The image is not important or how it's made, it's the whole pretence that these buyers believe in.
The little people can have the crumbs but they can never be like us and we will never let them join our clique.
I might be odd in that I see the art not the person who made it. I don't care if the art is by some famous artists selling for lots or by some unknown selling for coppers. I don't get why people don't like critique of Hirsts methods and his end product, he said himself it's all about the money and he doesn't give a fuck about the artists or others he ahs stolen from or the people who buy his spot paintings for big money.
For me the best collections have been built up over teh years by the people with a good eye rather than a good wallet.
For sure people buy latest releases because they see £ signs and how much profit they can make in the short term. The people buying these latest Hirst prints for re selling for a profit at auction are proof positive that in reality that is all that Hirst is, a time share condo for wig wearing old men with fake tans and wearing Lovejoy thongs on the beach..
Buyers forget that the wealthy who have bought spot paintings for very high prices have seen the value of these paintings drop dramatically. They don't care as they don't need to sell and don't need the money.
I'm the first person to dismiss accusations of cultural appropriation as pseudo anti white privelidge but in the case of Laolu and what he has to say about the Yoruba bronzes and Hirst, I agree with him 100%

Is that while they wait for the decision makers of Heni to come back from holiday? What could possibly make their process take 2 weeks? Laughable that people are prepared to accept that. You do know we've talked about the 'Heni process' many times on this forum right? They undergo a background check on all applicants and then decide whether you are eligible to purchase.

Damien Hirst H4 • Veils, by Winter on Aug 15, 2018 10:31:23 GMT 1, Is that while they wait for the decision makers of Heni to come back from holiday? What could possibly make their process take 2 weeks? Laughable that people are prepared to accept that. You do know we've talked about the 'Heni process' many times on this forum right? They undergo a background check on all applicants and then decide whether you are eligible to purchase.
Sorry I think this whole background check thing is complete nonsense. We’re supposed to believe they are cross-referencing every previous sale of any Heni edition through all the auction houses globally before they sell you one. They’re not.

Damien Hirst H4 • Veils, by cnrdvln on Aug 15, 2018 10:47:42 GMT 1, GDPR makes it a nightmare for companies doing anything remotely like a background check, especially with 3rd parties.
Everyone had the legal right to ask what info is stored about you and the right to be deleted etc.
Fascinating stuff 😪

Damien Hirst H4 • Veils, by Deleted on Aug 15, 2018 11:00:21 GMT 1, Invoiced and paid. If you haven't heard back by now I would be very worried. I'd get on the horn to the Tate first thing in the morning. Sorry if this has already been addressed. Has any that applied for a print via the Tate had a response yet? Posterbob, why do you post nonsense like this? It is obviously complete garbage.
Or are you being sarcastic or something???

Damien Hirst H4 • Veils, by DB on Aug 15, 2018 11:23:41 GMT 1, Couldn't make the preview on Friday, will there be a general release or have I missed the chance?
Fancy 'Claridges or Camino Real' from the photos I've seen.

Damien Hirst H4 • Veils, by Deleted on Aug 15, 2018 11:54:35 GMT 1, I don't understand where you are coming from Hirst is a brand, I think Laolu (did he copy his name from 5th element?) got a lovely bit of publicity from this. he was able to get his name out on the back of a brand. He does spout a load ofs**t in the article, you agree right? No he is genuine (Laolu) and he called Hirst out publicly for good reason. The Hirst sculpture is too close a copy of the African Yoruba bronze which is part of the artists cultural heritage. He writes "it’s no longer guns, you're using your status to steal what’s not yours and claim it as your own original art and ideas and profit off it." and he is right. I don't get why people don't like critique of Hirsts methods and his end product, he said himself it's all about the money and he doesn't give a f**kabout the artists or others he ahs stolen from or the people who buy his spot paintings for big money. I'm the first person to dismiss accusations of cultural appropriation as pseudo anti white privelidge but in the case of Laolu and what he has to say about the Yoruba bronzes and Hirst, I agree with him 100%
Thats all well and good. What was the theme of the show? Should the Greeks come out and had a pop as he ripped off a few of there old Gods. Will Apollo come a calling? And how about Medussa? I am being flippant and havent really thought about it so shouldnt really get involved
