If you don't understand this I might question if being a fan of street art is for you.

I simply don't understand how people ignore the foundation and concept of street art when they complain about artists painting on walls.

Based on the no-talents that do this (hello Omar!) it seems the defacers of Banksy are only looking for their 3-4 minutes of fame (they don't even get 15 minutes) and as evidence of their work have nothing to add to the dialogue.

Au contraire, hairbland. It adds much to the dialogue. Vis a vis the sanctity of art on street. I believe it is a good discussion. One man's Banksy is another man's Mr. Brainwash, no?

If you rectify and say Banksy is to street art what Einstein was to science, then I agree.

So it's OK for Banksy to make political art about refugees etc which is fine as I support freedom of expression.

but it's not OK to raise a few points regarding how many are genuine asylum seekers and how many are just economic migrants and to ask why they are in Paris and where are they heading.

 Thats a generalisation and the French people are not antisemitic. When you say "the French" who do you mean exactly?

 Let me see, Banksy is a genius to some on here and the young woman Konny deserved what she got when she wheat pasted and taped her art over his which he or his assistants did on a wall in the street.

 The young woman Konny Steding was assaulted by some thug by spraying paint from a spray can into her eyes. It makes me wonder how this guy Pimaxart treats women in private. 

  Then the thug who assaulted her tells people don't worry the paint I used is bio and it's harmless, which I doubt it's bio and doubt it's harmless when sprayed into someones eyes. I contacted the paint company by email so will see what they say about this.

 So much for feminism and so much for not supporting thugs who attack women but there again the guy is a "street artist" if one can call his efforts art and the young lady did wheatpaste over millionaire Banksy with a PR teams stencil designed to gain maximum exposure for Banksy in the media. So clearly she got what she desrved.

   Talking about wannabees riding on celebrities coat tails, Banksy did that when he targeted Paris Hilton a few years back before finance and PR and media contacts made his name a public brand.

  Wheatpasting over others art painted illegaly on walls, oh how bad and deplorable.

 It's not as bad as when Banksy destroyed Robbos art to score brownie points.

 Banksy and politics oh yeah. Didn't Banksy donate 200K approx towards Ken Livingstones Labour London mayor election campaign.
