Pejac • A Forest Print, by swissmade on Jul 18, 2018 18:23:14 GMT 1, what is strange is that the entire preview night was made of forum members. Parisians didnt have a clue who pejac was so even those visiting for the rest of the week probably came from the forum. I must know more than 100 people that visited that show and bought a lottery ticket. Multiple lottery tickets. Yet i dont know anyone that actually won!!! Has anyone actually got a drawing??? Ok let me ask; has anyone actually got a drawing / print / other original work, that isnt able to influence (con) others into thinking they need to buy no matter what the price. It seems to me that Max has again ensured prints and drawings have gone to the suck - as**es. Its a dangerous game when only a select few are able to buy his work yet ffor everyone else its impossible to get work from an artist that hasnt actually achieved very much Its no exageration to say he is unknown outside of this forum, the only ones propping up his market are the elite few still throwing money at him because they believe they have the monopoly on his secondary market. im not a framer, im not a plum with more money than sense. I was a genuine fan and made the effort to see the 'non - selling' show in Venice (no free sherbet dabs for guessing who bought those). i made the effort to see the Paris show and bought 5 lottery ticketsand suprisngly still have nothing. If i am happy to pay £5k i can buy a print from any one of the franchishee's. Why should i line the pockets of someone else just because they are up Max's a@@rse. Ironically the same game that managed Dran in the early days when the select few banked as much Dran as they could. Step outside the forum and ask if anyone and ask if anyone has heard of Pejac. The Paris show, the print, the lottery, the Venice show, it stink of market manipulation. And now everyone is hyping Crypta Djan just to suck up to Max, seriously take a step back and open your eyes. F@@@k Pejac and F@@k Suben Art Managmenti wont waste another £20 trying to get an artist that has no CV , let alone lining the pockets of the elite (read: ar@@se kissers) granted access to his work for the sole intention of doubling or trippling their money and creating false hype Just so everyone is clear:-
You visited the Venice show You visited the Paris show, was that once or are you implying you were there every day of the week? You conducted a survey of the visitors - no Parisians. You met at least a hundred forum members. All of that because you believe Pejac and Max are ... not quite sure what is your opinion on them .. but anyone who owns a Pejac is a arse kisser. Yet you bought five tickets for the lottery?
Do you get this angry when you buy tickets on the lotto? I'm guessing here as I have never bought a lotto, they don't send you an email saying sorry Conusmaximus you didn't win the lottery this week but thank you for trying. You entered the lottery, no doubt you received the mini print and quadrupled your money, according to sales on Ebay.
For the record I went to Paris, nearly a third of the visitors I met were Parisians. Some of whom very kindly took me out for a meal after the show. I am fan of Pejac's work and believe he is very talented and unlike most artists promoted here he has a very clear and strong message in his work. I did buy lottery tickets and no I didn't win sadly. I don't own any of his work, I wish I did but that's ok. One day it will happen, I am not bitter I am not angry.
Be happy you were fortunate enough to have been able to see some of Pejac's original works in person. A lot of people weren't able to do that, think yourself fortunate.
Sermon over.

If you have no intention what so ever to buy a Pejac from source or on secondary market ever again why did you make a new account to post this ? ? ?
Maybe Coward Maximus would be more appropriate. Man up and post under your regular ID.
There were about 960 tickets sold - 80 winners - you had 5 tickets - you didn't win. Now it's a conspiracy / scam ? Odds are 2.5 to 1 you wouldn't win any. And that's if all 80 were available. It might be less, which would even lower the odds.
I bought 4 tickets for myself and I didn't win. I bought 2 tickets for another member and he did win one. He didn't post he did.
Yeah, I'm disappointed. No, I don't b!tch about it.
Would more transparency be good? For sure. Irl actually had a good idea. So miracles do exist.

Pejac • A Forest Print, by rjf76 on Jul 18, 2018 21:38:49 GMT 1, my post - was my straight up logical opinion on the scandal - you are entitled to your own - if yours differs - i would suggest that you are suffering from Stockholms syndrome - how can you enter a lottery/competition- where there is no email confirmation of 1. of being in one 2. no acknowledgment/ consolation of not winning 3. no where to check to see if you won not even a thank you for taking part - im still trying to figure out whether it was audacity, laziness or the belief that we were all that stupid . - im not - the fix was in - it is illegal crimainal - FRAUD - a sham - a con - trading standards would agree - Well, basicly with every lottery ticket you buy you 1. Don't get an email confirmation 2. Don't get confirmation of not winning 3. You will get a notification if you do win, so why need a place to check that. Are you upset you didn't get a Thank you for Participating email ? ? Maybe lotteries is just not for you……. But this wasn’t really a lottery was it...
lottery ˈlɒt(ə)ri/Submit noun a means of raising money by selling numbered tickets and giving prizes to the holders of numbers drawn at random. "the introduction of a national lottery" synonyms: raffle, (prize) draw, sweepstake, sweep, bingo, lotto, tombola, drawing of lots, pools; More a situation whose success or outcome is governed by chance. "you can appeal, but the procedure is something of a lottery"
Just those two bold words go against everything that this was...

moron's list of hates, in no particular order:
i) foreigners ii) leftists & liberals iii) Hirst iv) anyone who takes issue with anything he says
....to be fair three of them encompass about 90% of humanity. Only Damien gets singled out for special attention. Not sure what he's done to warrant such special treatment.

Pejac • A Forest Print, by jbelleit on Jul 18, 2018 23:22:41 GMT 1, I guess I am curious about a few things with regards to this thread...
1) if you complain about Pejac/Max's way they allocate their prints, why don't you also send them an email with the same complaints and sign your name...maybe then you will get the next release or never get another (which I feel from some of these complaints is what you want). I missed on Desprestigio and the hand-drawn prints from the Paris show. I was bummed as I didn't get one of the original emails from Suben but then I did. I got lucky. 2) if you really don't like Pejac's works or Max's pricing/allocation, then just go along your day. I kinda feel that the haters are just trying to get the pricing down so they can get other prints, but I could be wrong on this. 3) I personally like the prints...we'll see what happens after the NYC show. I think that is when we'll see if it is just forum members hype or if other galleries take interest. 4) Two other rules: Stay away from my percocets, and does anybody have any percocets?

As an aspiring Pejac collector I should join the band wagon but that would be such an immoral way of getting the art that I couldn't love it. I guess they don't intend to keep it but flip it for profit.

There's conspiracy theories and then there is this. You think anyone is going to read this thread and think "good point, I'll pass on a Meadow"
Supply is a lot easier to manipulate than demand. Wish politicians could grasp that very simple concept when it comes to housing.

Pejac • A Forest Print, by gd79 on Jul 19, 2018 9:02:23 GMT 1, I would be somewhat surprised if in a century's time pejac will be seen as one of the greatest artists of all time.
There is a question of supply though. Chagall prints are lovely (I have a couple), but there are thousands. Indeed way more than Chagall ever printed.
Very few artists can attract over five grand secondary for prints. It's amazing that pejac can do so, and part of it is that there are only 3-4 decent prints out there.
I suspect that time will pass and we'll all move on. The hype will die down. Like invader. Pejac isn't cutting new ground, just making wall friendly art that is being well managed. Full disclosure: I'd happily buy it, there's nothing wrong with doing that well.

Stupid comment.
invader is not ‘hype’. Invader has been doing his this worldwide for almost 20 years. He is a well known street art legend.
pejac is in a forum bubble. I own his work but you cannot compare it.

Sure. Invader is a different deal, granted. Either way, the LED is worth half what it was as the frantic clamour to catch a drop has died back. I'm sure his next drop will Stoke things up again.
The point was the Chagall comparison made above. Which is another level up completely.

Pejac • A Forest Print, by streetartger on Jul 19, 2018 10:12:54 GMT 1, If Pejac is only known here in the Forum... why are there 64,5k followers on Insta and 54k on FB? Didn't know there were so many forum members... But I agree, the fanbase (and I'm one of them) is pretty big here in the Forum. If hype or not, I love his art and are happy to own some pieces - same with Invader. Max is doing a great job as far as I am concerned and I wish some other artists would have such a professional management.

Invader has 562k followers and not all of them will be buying either.
I wonder if dran would agree with what you just said

Pejac • A Forest Print, by .dappy on Jul 19, 2018 10:49:41 GMT 1, ... I see what you did there with your name ... ... other than the usual 20, I must admit what has happened and/or who actually won the other 60 prints?? ... from the A Forest Edition of 80 ... ... the thread has morphed into how good an artist he is and amount of followers ...
... I bring my question back to the table ...
