Artist Jorit Agoch has just been arrested by Israeli forces, by mose on Jul 28, 2018 20:58:01 GMT 1, I see things like this, and it always reminds me of a story my father told me so many years ago.
When he was growing up, my father had a large dog named Romeo (full name 'Champion Romeo of Staten'). In addition to being a physical specimen, Romeo was from a show-winning bloodline, he was exceptionally well trained. He wouldn't move an inch past an imaginary line in the backyard. It didn't matter what happened, he would freeze at this one point and never step off the property.
Well, the neighborhood feral cats knew this. They used to tease Romeo, dancing around the border between my family's property and the neighbor's. Romeo wouldn't even bark as they did this, just stare. Cool(cold even), calm, and collected. Just staring at these cats, playing their little games.
Until one day, a cat slipped up. He strayed off the path a little too much. His game went a little too far and he left himself exposed. He didn't respect that border, didn't respect the beast contained on the other side, and didn't respect the power that was being restrained. He mistook cool, calm, and collected for something else.
So Romeo, with stunning grace and efficiency, scooped this cat up. In one lighting-fast motion, he broke it's neck. And, before it even started to go cold, he calmly laid the body on the border to serve as an example for all the other would-be tricksters.
Romeo then walked back to the porch and laid down in the shade. He had taken everything from that cat, and it had meant nothing to him.

Your story about your dad's dog punishing cats for crossing 'imaginary lines' doesn't seem to apply here. When it comes to arresting people, surely only legal 'lines'/laws should matter not 'imaginary lines'?
He was painting the wall, which doesn't seem to be illegal, so he shouldn't have been arrested. Hope he gets the legal help he needs and that he is released without charge.

Well I think Romeo would like to launch some missiles at the feral cats if they did try to burn his kennel down with molotov cocktails and kill him in the process, so that the feral cats would either be eliminated or would learn the valuable lesson to not try to kill Romeo anymore.

Artist Jorit Agoch has just been arrested by Israeli forces, by Deleted on Jul 29, 2018 2:00:18 GMT 1, Well I think Romeo would like to launch some missiles at the feral cats if they did try to burn his kennel down with molotov cocktails and kill him in the process, so that the feral cats would either be eliminated or would learn the valuable lesson to not try to kill Romeo anymore. It would seem that Romeo would like to slaughter cats for dancing across his imaginary line. If they were happily dancing and having fun and trying to better their lives without bothering Romeo, I think Romeo would just lead his own happy little life and not kill anyone.

You must have missed the last couple of lines of the allegory. Killing for sport appears to suit him.

You must have missed the third paragraph as it clearly outlines Romeo accepting the mild little games the feral cats were playing, as long as they didn't go too far. He seems pretty tolerant up until the point someone steps over his boundaries.

Artist Jorit Agoch has just been arrested by Israeli forces, by Cake$ on Jul 29, 2018 8:39:16 GMT 1, Article from The Times of Israel link: www.timesofisrael.com/italian-graffiti-artist-arrested-for-mural-of-ahed-tamimi-on-security-barrier/
Israeli troops arrested two Italians and a Palestinian who painted a mural of Ahed Tamimi on a section of the security barrier between the West Bank and Israel, Palestinians said Saturday.
A Border Police spokesman confirmed the arrests and said the suspects had attempted to flee in their vehicle. He added that any painting on the barrier is illegal.
One of the artists believed to have been arrested was seen painting the mural on Wednesday while wearing a mask. He later identified himself as Agostino Chirwin from Italy.
Footage tweeted by the Palestinian Liberation Organizationโs Negotiation Affairs Department showed soldiers pulling three men from a car parked near a section of the separation barrier near Bethlehem and taking them for questioning.
The incident came just one day before Tamimi is slated to be released from the Hasharon prison along with her mother Nariman.
The 17-year-old was sentenced to eight-months in prison after being filmed slapping and shoving IDF soldiers outside her home in the West Bank village of Nebi Saleh late last year.
Nariman, who also confronted soldiers in the filmed incident, was sentenced to the same amount of time behind bars.
Upon their release from prison, the two are expected to pay a visit to the grave of the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat in Ramallah and then hold a press conference in their village of Nebi Saleh.
Ahedโs incarceration has drawn attention from around the globe, highlighting the teenโs image as a Palestinian icon. She has become a cause cรฉlรจbre for Palestinian supporters, and rallies have been held in several locations calling for her release.
Many Palestinians see her as bravely standing up to military control over the West Bank, while Israelis accuse her family of using her as a pawn.

Artist Jorit Agoch has just been arrested by Israeli forces, by nex on Jul 29, 2018 9:57:43 GMT 1, Just wow, the connotations in this really shine a light on your bigotryโ Dingdingding one sentence and a lefty buzzword, you win the SJW award today!
sigh
I find it down right disgusting to use an allegory to describe the Palestiniabns as feral cats, these kind of descriptions have been used throughout history to degrade and dehumanise those youwish to put down.

Artist Jorit Agoch has just been arrested by Israeli forces, by rebate on Jul 29, 2018 10:59:27 GMT 1, It's not my allegory, so how the F would I know? Well I think Romeo would like to launch some missiles at the feral cats if they did try to burn his kennel down with molotov cocktails and kill him in the process, so that the feral cats would either be eliminated or would learn the valuable lesson to not try to kill Romeo anymore. To be fair, your not entirely wrong here. Romeo has clearly been programmed to over react like a psycopath to the smallest of slights. But that said, romeo has also learned where his property boudries are, so he is in fact a little MORE respectfull than these land thieving murderous isreali arseholes.
Didnt the bible say an eye for an eye? i wouldnt know, never got sucked into this religeous gumph thankfully. But even to a layman, this isreali and yours it seems attitude is much more like a hundred eyes for a fingernail. Its a funny one, because if we are all to be judged, im thinking those of us that lived kindly (or even remotly kindly) but without any religeon, are going to fair better than the brown nosers who are behaving like utter savages. Weird that eh.

Artist Jorit Agoch has just been arrested by Israeli forces, by shy on Jul 29, 2018 12:55:09 GMT 1, I am not taking sides in the Israeli/Arab conflict
But why would the artist insight violence or potential conflict? It's not smart unless and most likely Jorit Agoch was hoping to gain international attention? And that is why he did what he did, and garnered Int'l press by getting arrested!
How many people have even heard of him before this? Likely not that many.

Artist Jorit Agoch has just been arrested by Israeli forces, by moron on Jul 29, 2018 17:37:22 GMT 1, Interesting. Did Romeo ever launch missiles into the homes of the feral cats? Did the feral cats every fly kites with molotov cocktails at Romeo's kennel? The dog story is irrelevant.
It looks like the artists painted the wrong image on the separation wall. He was arrested because "it's illegal to paint on the separation wall". It looks like it's illegal regarding certain political images.
I think there are four sides in the Israel Palestine situation. Israelis who want the seperation wall to stay nd never have peace with Palestine. Palestinians who never want peace with Israel. Israelis who want peace with Palestine and want the wall to come down. Palestinians who want peace with Israel.
The artist could have been arrested for political reasons rather than breaking any law.

I think it could be just a coincidence that he painted the portrait of Ahed Tamimi as a symbol of Palestinian protest and getting arrested for showing her as having support from the west and showing her as a young woman in a westernised way.
The artist decided to paint a portrait of a Palestinian woman jailed by Israel thats all.

Artist Jorit Agoch has just been arrested by Israeli forces, by detail on Jul 29, 2018 23:34:30 GMT 1, That video really shows how much suffering Israel/the Israeli army are inflicting on families like the Tamimi's. Her dad is right, it's 'ethnic cleansing' and 'the Israeli army do not know humanity and have no respect for childhood'.
Glad that Ahed is free, hope she gets a chance one day to live a more peaceful/normal life with the basic human rights that her and her family don't seem to have at the moment.

Artist Jorit Agoch has just been arrested by Israeli forces, by Deleted on Jul 30, 2018 13:09:52 GMT 1, You must have missed the third paragraph as it clearly outlines Romeo accepting the mild little games the feral cats were playing, as long as they didn't go too far. He seems pretty tolerant up until the point someone steps over his boundaries. Just for @blanksky ; Building up a nice posts count with your right-wing comments? You after that 5th star? Please create your own thread about your BS life and post in there. How on earth is it possible that they let you pollute this forum the way you have been doing since you joined? For the rest of the forum; Jorit was in the midst of painting a wall, beautifully i might add. Next to all other artists and people who stayed in the Walledoff. We all know Joris won't have a honest trial and will be facing serious jail time and a beating from time to time. I seriously hope all is ok with him and his two friends. Resta forte Jorit! I'm very sorry you get to read comments outside of your lefty echochamber. Your comment about 'how it is possible that the owners of this site allow for right wing comments ' sounds very fascist. You should be very happy to be living in a part of the world that allows for free speech.
Also, 'we all know'? I just read the guy has been released from prison. So no jail time, no trials, no beatings. So do 'we' all know? Or all 'we' all very biased in our way of thinking about Israel?
