I think it’s just odd that Obey has a specific T&C page saying exactly what he thinks of people who buy his work to flip/profit. Forgive me if I’m wrong but it doesn’t make sense that Obey would have an “official” reseller that professionally flips art or that allows them to price it up as they like. What makes a gallery an “official” reseller? Can I not be an official reseller by buying his prints and selling them online or did I miss something? It just seems to directly contravene his t&cs

Don't Stolen Space usually sell at pretty close to retail (after exchange rates and fees, etc)? I bought a Peace Goddess a few years back (a year after they were sold out) for a fraction of what they could have sold it for.

I’m not outraged sorry. I’m trying to understand what makes them an official reseller as it states on the website. From an outsider that appears like it’s where Obey wants them sold but the pricing appears to directly contradict what Obey says on his site. If they are just a standard gallery they wouldn’t have “official” reseller on their site.

Shepard Fairey "Americana" Series Print Drop, by stuckeyc on Aug 30, 2018 11:35:05 GMT 1, Pricing on the new releases are sent and set by obey last I knew. The other 7 or so pages are from secondary market sources. Also fairey has said multiple he opposes flipping but doesn't view selling works that are years old to purchase other work as flipping.
