Hereโs a close up of a peace sign done by Banksy that HAS been authenticated (sorry for thes**te pic). It doesnโt look too dissimilar to the peace sign on your cardboard drawing. So, never give up hope! (But donโt expect any help from Pest Control on this one). To the forum, do these peace signs look alike? YES OR NO?!

Imo it does look similar - no hand writing is 100% the same all the time. All over this card looks legit to me. But as it was originally meant to be a birthday card this will never get issued with a COA (like gift prints eg).
Anyways, frame and keep it - thatโs a really special and emotional item in your collection!

This is the advice your looking for. It is you cannot sell it publicly for anything close to what you'd want for it without a COA, which you CANNOT get through pest control (I thought they did authenticate gifts if it comes form the original person gifted, but maybe not with OGS?), so you only option is to compile the information you have.
It may sound silly, but an affidavit from your mom is better than nothing, have it explain how she came to meet Mr. B and the prov of the piece. If your mom was reputable enough to be a known associate of the artist that may be enough to get you into an auction. But your best option is to sell it someone you know who knows your mom and your background with the artist and therefore is comfortable with authenticity.
Why was it specifically denied by PC? Make sure to get the precise wording. If its akin to "we cannot authenticate gifts" then your likely ok to move forward with a sale, but if it was an outright denial you should probably get them to elaborate in writing. If they came to the conclusion that it was not authentic, even if they are mistaken, its a death sentence and you should just keep it as even though you may know its authentic, it would be unethical to sell it if PC expressly deemed it inauthentic. Bottom line, just make sure you havesomething in writing about why it was denied.
Good luck...assuming your story is genuine.

un authenticatable banksy original, by rbrt on Aug 29, 2018 0:09:44 GMT 1, I had a Banksy which I knew was real. PC would not give a COA as they stated that it was not made to be sold. I had very solid proof about how I got it and was able to sell the work without a PC COA. It is about finding a buyer who trusts you and your story and this artwork. As this is more unique and not a standard Banksy artwork that anyone has seen before it may mean less people would be able to trust this is real so price would be lower than Banksy art that has been documented elsewhere.
I would suggest getting as much proof as possible ie your Mumโs tickets / proof of purchase for Glastonbury tickets. Photos of her there. Get your Mum to write everything down in as much detail as possible. You should watch Fake Or Fortune on BBC1 to see the hurdles people have to go through to prove art.
I would also suggest you keep this. I sort of regret selling mine (I had just had my first child and moved house) so was worried a bit about money. I know when you graduate you worry a bit too. It is unlikely you will get ยฃ10,000s for this today but in 20-30 years this might be like having a birthday card from Warhol or Dali. I personally think that if real this is very special from a well known artist and worth looking at another way to get some cash and keeping this.

No reason to disbelieve the back story and aesthetically looks correct. Nice little rat and found the tongue in cheek Hallmark copyright 2008 symbol amusing and in keeping with the artist. Honestly one day when money is not an issue, a few years post graduation, you might well regret selling this for the relatively small sum of money you could obtain right now. Sentimental value often grows over time whilst access to money sometimes gets easier. Good luck in whatever you choose to do.

We ve all be strapped for cash at points and what do we prefer best than cash for a bday? B would prob not mind him selling a gift that took him 10min to get a little push in life... Yet i m not sure 100% why not let him have his CoA? PC - as for sign roads - will never send a COA for this kind of artwork. They are authenticate prints and canvas with references. Anyway this drawing does not take 10 minutes, but seconds.

Document what you can from your mum, put it in a sealed envelope and frame it behind the card. Your kids (and even their kids) will have a personal connection to it that nobody else can possibly have.
That's got to be worth more than a few quid right now...

A lot more unlikely when he's from Frankfurt or Miami. There is just no telling.
A real Banksy birthday card with someone else's name on it : 50 quid. A real Banksy birthday card with my name on it : priceless.
So find another guy named Kassian willing to spend 10K on it (good luck with that) or keep it.
Don't know the man, but he does a nice thing by making a birthday card for a friends kid. And then finds it being sold. My guess would be he will not be amused.

I'm quite impressed that Banksy can knock one out like that in the middle of a field with so many people around.
It must have been difficult to stay focused.
