un authenticatable banksy original, by k2 on Aug 29, 2018 12:29:56 GMT 1, But as an artist myself (recent graduate) i'm interested in using that sale to fund my trade, in starting a production company. I can't help with the sale of your card, but if you're a new graduate the best advice I could offer would be not to immediately start out on your own. You'd be better off working for an established production company for a couple of years before considering going it alone - the experience you'll get and the contacts you'll make will be invaluable.
Good luck!

It must have been difficult to stay focused.
Im sure a lot of people camping knock one out with so many people around. Focus probably a little issue but not impossible.

If you are for real the first thing you should do is blank out your name This is sound advice. Otherwise people start googling you, then going through your facebook pics, then your mum's pics, then, before you know it, they're doxing your neighbours kids as banksy.

un authenticatable banksy original, by drip on Aug 29, 2018 22:04:46 GMT 1, Your mom is a saint to be thinking about a gift for her adult banksy lovin' son 1 and half months before his birthday while at a party with a world famous artist (3D) and than you...you ungrateful son sell it off on a low rent internet forum. look dude, Let me be clear. I'm not selling it on here at all. no way. what i came here for is advice on how i would get it appraised and authenticated. Honestly, i've got that from a few people on here. so let me just say, 1, this wasnt a party, this was a group of mates hanging around a couple tents smoking spliffs at glastonbury. 2. i asked her if she could. and i really do appreciate the fact she got it for me. 3. i was 15 years old at the time. 4. i've already discussed this with my mum and she's fine with me looking into getting it appraised and eventually selling it. now. keep your judgement if you will. but my conscience is clean on this. im not going to sell it to anyone on here. i just came here because im sure many of you may have far more knowledge in selling art like this than i have. is this a community that outright shuns outsiders? because if so I'll f**koff and leave you to it. genuinely though, thank you to the serious messages I've been sent, and non-hostile people here. Hi Kassian. Thank you for taking the time to share your interesting memento with the group. It's very nice and your mum must love you very much. I asked my mum to get me Johnny Herbert's autograph once, when he was opening a school fete, which she did. But, foolishly thinking it might be worth a few quid, she kept it for herself. She told me the event had been rained off and cancelled. I only discovered her deception years later, after she'd died, I was going through her possessions and I found a small photograph signed by Johnny Herbert, dedicated to me.
Anyway, enough about me, I would say that your path to provenance is your mother. While you're never likely to get a certificate of authenticity, your mother's word, back story, anything she can supply that proves she has a connection with Banksy, without revealing too much, etc, is what adds to your birthday card's history (and sadly value). So if you have hopes to one day convince someone else that the card is what you say it is, you'll need your mother's assistance, as well as possibly that of Fiona Bruce.
Just keep it, love it for what it is, give your mother a hug now and then, tell her that you love and appreciate her and what she's done for you, and sit her down with a solicitor and take a recorded statement, while the card is sent away for fingerprint and DNA analasyse......analasise.........testing.
And don't let people drive you away from this place. It's not twitter.

un authenticatable banksy original, by drip on Aug 29, 2018 23:08:49 GMT 1, Hello. Me again.
I just thought I would say, if you happen to notice a couple of new follows on your social media stuff, DO NOT FREAK OUT. That's just me and it has *NOTHING* to do with your tenuous connection with Banksy, I just like your animation. Which I would never have come across if you hadn't posted on here and I hadn't been a creepy stalker, so yay! for promotion through social media. x

Hey dood, ive been shut down on here before as well with my originals and it just makes me giggle as they are indeed originals but like you i cant get a cert from pc as they were done for me and not made for sale. TBH i would just hold onto it and wait a bit, but if you have to sell then go for it, we all have our reasons and if needs must do it.
99% of the peeps on here are cool as, but there are some total bell ends who think they know all when they couldn`t be further from the truth.
Enjoy your piece or sell it to the highest bidder Banksy wouldnt care in the slightest im sure, in fact would be pleased that you are potentially getting a step up to do something you want to do.

un authenticatable banksy original, by cnrdvln on Sept 8, 2018 20:54:29 GMT 1, Was in the mocco museum last week and thought the same about provenance, half the items ripped off walls or were meant for the streets are sitting in that museum. Prints and paintings mentioned COA etc. But over half just referenced year and location... where they are officially certified I don't know. Anyway you could try them for some help, as they seem comfortable in dealing with non COA items etc.
