I feel that JR's persona and ventures can be perceived as somewhat gimmicky by the high end collectors hence why I could see his potential being capped. Not saying it's the case, simply my opinion |

Why is that ?
I'm not saying that these specific unsold prints, or any of his prints, will worth be something in the future, but it's not like the guy is a fraud, or lacks any form of success as an artist.
His originals, especially super large formats of the iconic images (Hold Up, Pont de Paris) are now in the several 100k and in the hands of very wealthy collectors.
He has been pasting / photo-ing in the streets for close to 20 years now, has no shortage of creativity and ingenuity (as recently proved again with the disappearing Louvre Pyramid, the child on the Mexican border), and there is no shortage of recognition or demand for his art across the world.
Where he will be in 20 years time who knows, but of all the people discussed on here he is clearly one of the few (probably less than 5 or 6) who has a significant track record as a substantial street artist with true international recognition

I bought the print, it’s a great print. But even I would admit it’s not a Banksy postcard

I'd be interested in that as well. My wife used to dance ballet so that's an added bonus with this print. Shouldn't have any trouble getting this one on the wall--unlike most of my other stuff.

Shame this wasn't released yesterday as a photographic print. Instead of adding interest, to my eyes, the lithograph medium weakens the image. It also results in a noticeable loss of definition — which is unfortunate, since the focal point of the ballerina is already small in scale.
Presumably, the photo edition or editions were reserved for the higher-end market and sold exclusively through galleries representing the artist.

What I'm unsure about is whether the dancer, Charlotte Ranson, was photoshopped into this image. The jump she's doing is known by different names, including grand pas de chat, and is technically quite difficult. I've never seen it commenced from a stationary position.
One would normally expect a prior buildup of momentum, typically with a glissade, to reach the height Ranson achieves. But that wasn't possible within the restricted space at the front of the shipping container. Hence my suspicion the image might be a composite of two separate photos.

This one would not have required digital manipulation. It appears to be an express nod (or at least a subconscious reference) to the exceptional and truly iconic 1960 photo by Ormond Gigli, Girls in the Windows:

First : to make a rerelease with another photo as stuck on the containers is a bit easy ( the price is ok but the artwork has not so much quality - here the photo grain is bigger - as some other prints much expensive ) , and I was deceipt because the first one is a masterpiece, much deeper and sensitive ( the model seated is a kid in color and represent the innocence )!.
Second : I never said that this Peckham ( you talked and bought them all over The thread and you make morality ? ) rock is great ! Where and when ? Lol, just funny as everybody ! It’s 34 quids not 360 euros also ( I give your arguments)!
Third : I would like to know your taste in art ( only Banksy and stencils huh ? Coz you have money ? ) and your connoisseurship erm ?

First : to make a rerelease with another b/w photo as stuck on the containers is a bit easy ( the price is ok but the artwork has not so much quality - here the photo grain is bigger - as some other prints much expensive ) , and I was deceipt because the first one is a masterpiece, much deeper and sensitive ( the model seated is a kid in color and represent the innocence )!. Second : I never said that this Peckham ( you talked and bought them all over The thread and you make morality ? ) rock is great ! Where and when ? Lol, just funny as everybody ! It’s 34 quids not 360 euros also ( I give your arguments)! Third : I would like to know your taste in art ( only Banksy and stencils huh ? Coz you have money ? ) and your connoisseurship erm ?
