If Charlotte Ranson's jump was initiated from a stationary position and done as a straight vertical leap, then the height she reached was impressive.
As already referred to, prior momentum is most often relied upon for achieving this โ also meaning the jump would usually follow an arch-like trajectory (similar to what we see in the video posted by jp).
Perhaps someone could ask Ranson herself about the photograph, via Instagram:

In the container ? Anyway, I prefer from far the ballerina boring/sitting in the container. Personally, I find this one, a bit " cold" , not emotive, I mean I 'am not impressed as the ballerina here seems as stuck in the container. Never mind if it is photoshop or not, a performance, live or not..
I reckon anyway that the price was good for people having a bit of money, and that, it is surely better in flesh, as always !  Just saying...

I agree with you fella, and itโs another one that got away ๐ข my wife loved the first one and I did (rare we both like same art) but we were renovating at the time so had no funds.. How much is the first issue print on the secondary in galleries?
