Possibly. But he chose to do it this way. And as a result raised what I have no doubt will be a very welcome £90k for a worthwhile charity.
Surely this deserves nothing less than applause?
Generally (not directed at the person I have quoted) knowing how little I achieve, I certainly wouldn’t contemplate criticising the significant achievements of another.

The boat is apt for the cause that Banksy supports. It's a nice bit of Dismaland ltd fairground memorabilia rather than a sculpture. Same way that huge truck sculpture was part of the Dismaland exhibit and that truck apparently was made for the Burning Man event the year before Dismaland. |

It's all a bit vague, plus their blurb says they also help economic migrants. People tend to only use the word helping "refugees" for some reason. They also get some funding from Soros.
The items in their online shop are sold at full retail price I assume, so someone must be making a markup on the items. Do they use a supplier or do they buy at trade prices in bulk. Also noticed they are not interested in people donating clothes etc to them to give to migrants?

Banksy Raffle • Dismaland Refugee Boat, by moron on Dec 25, 2018 23:08:37 GMT 1, The boat is apt for the cause that Banksy supports. It's a nice bit of Dismaland ltd fairground memorabilia rather than a sculpture. Same way that huge truck sculpture was part of the Dismaland exhibit and that truck apparently was made for the Burning Man event the year before Dismaland. This truck was .... incredible ! As mostly to Dismaland art there ! Thank you to banksy to made this « mix « Of contemporary artists, graffers, activists, even some street artists , « quotists » ( my son 18 wantsed today to steal me my Wasted Rita prints) , bands, pizza, castles ... the banksy and maresmasterpiece ! The tent with Hirst unicir’ and weird things was huge too !

banksy fans dwindling , thought would raise much more , agree an auction would have raised more
Maybe by doing so this way may have highlighted the charity more and a few may have made monthly or yearly donations?

At the end of the year, I participated in the raffle for the Loveboat Banksy. I was lucky to find the right weight (confirmation email received) but it was not my surprise to hear that the winner was in Sweden and that the person had an estimate of a few grams. I contacted ChooseLove several times as well as Pest Control Office for explanations and why I was not winner. After several messages left, no response from them. I am French and in my country, each lottery is under the control of a bailiff sworn by the state to verify the smooth running and honesty of the organizer. In this case, an authority controlled this kind of lottery? Or can everyone arrange and win his family? I am very skeptical when it comes to the honesty of ChooseLove and the artist.
Can someone on this forum help me? people or service to contact? What to do. Thank you so much.
