Sets sold out in under five minutes and were limited to 2k. Brown single is lowest stocked right now at about 1500 and black has about 2300 with grey right in the middle.

Just me, or is it purposely miscommunicated/undercommunicated from Kaws & DDT that the Box itself is numbered, while the plushes are just "limited" unnumbered? Seems like there was 2k boxes that sold out fast, and the plushes are limited to a very high arbitrary number.

Limited here is just a marketing term. They might as well be called timed. The limitation for the production here is probably just demand.. 

From what I read on the facebook group, it's just the sets in a box that's limited (so the box, like the uniqlo toy sets), the plush toys aren't really limited at all.

Only the sets have a photo of a certificate with 0000/2000 on it.
I think the description for the single ones is probably just wrong... Only "limited" by the number they ever produce!

Now sold out

Its sold out, they are nice, big and I bought, but the marketing strategy is poor and false. On instagram it was a picture of the 3 "figures" saying ed/2000. That should of course mean that 2000 of each figure is produced. But the only difference is that you get a numbered box. You could buy all 3 for less without the numbered box, they are the same. Its was no commercial for a "Kaws numbered box". They make people believe its only 2000, and then buyers justify the price because of the market, but then find out its produced in a much higher number.

You believe they suddenly sold out, despite the obvious trickery about everything else?

Agreed. Unfortunately everyone thought the same and they lied to everyone. 2000 boxes 20,000,000 plushes.

Think they, and rightly so, have received quite many complaints and maybe also cancellations so they closed the shop down.

This guy treats his buyers terribly and his greed is deplorable.

He charges for import duties yet the item arrives with import duties due. There is never transparency on how limited a limited edition is (take Small Lie or even the Holiday plushes just yesterday, Ed of 2000 for a box but individually unlimited). He is producing a new piece near every week, which can be financially crippling for a collector. He is literally a reverse Robin Hood.

Makes you really appreciate Shepard, who charges very reasonable shipping fees, his price point is affordable for all and he has full transparency on his editions.

This release is absurdly shady! From my understanding NONE of the plushes are actually numbered its quite literally a certificate that comes with the box (and perhaps the box is numbered). But the 3 plushes inside are the same as those individually sold. Meaning no one could buy just one of the colour ways in LE. I can't wrap my head around the transparency issue, it's like they have board meetings to find a way to dupe as many people as possible into buying and I think they succeeded in this one.
