Kaws โข MOCAD Print Edition, by Inknart on Jun 2, 2019 3:51:09 GMT 1, that ebay auction which just ended might be an indication of how willing people are to pay for the "lesser" images... this one ended with only 1 bid at 3.5k (starting price)... and to think there's even worse images out there, people might of gotten a bit too excited with the prices at first but things are coming back to reality I think this is simple supply and demand. These will slowly go from avail to scarce. Give it 6 months and if he doesnโt do another release these will easily be 5k for this image. I donโt think itโs an indication of anything, but a saturated market. Reminds me of everyone saying the last invader kit or that sunset print being worth nothing more than cost a month after his last show. I think 3500 will seem like a bargain in a couple months .

Same tactic as you did for BK prints: hype up prices with this BS talk and non existant offers, while simultaneously trying to sell yours on ebay and eventually here. No wondered case studyo is one publisher that has blacklisted you.
3.5 was a good price for a mediocre one. Better ones with X = 5k MAX. Worse = 2-3k.
Facts speak for themselves, these will not be a 'bargain' in a mere 8 weeks ๐

Kaws โข MOCAD Print Edition, by Happy Shopper on Jun 2, 2019 9:43:34 GMT 1, Are people talking prices in ยฃ โฌ or $? Seems some people are confusing things by switching back and forth depending on the point they want to make!
That one that went โcheapโ was $4750. The better ones have been speculated to sell nearer $6k... but I donโt think we can trust some of the early sales.

Kaws โข MOCAD Print Edition, by Hairbland on Jun 2, 2019 12:25:55 GMT 1, The more I speak to people who are working for major auction houses, the more they keep saying this market cannot sustain itself for much longer. There is a reason why they call them "record breakers" and it's happening right now in many auction houses. This will not continue forever. Stocks and Real Estate in major parts in America, Asia and parts of Europe have be stalling after a massive 10 year boom. Art is always the last market to follow. I would not be surprised if there is a massive correction in the next 2-3 years in the art market or even sooner. You will and should see a market correction even in art. It's clear as day that the artists, auction houses, galleries and managers are all pushing as much as they can and for as much as they can right now knowing this the golden era and it won't last forever. I think the prime examples Shepard's 30 Large Format prints of old released images (yes he's using the excuse it's his 30 anniversary) at $900 each. Or what manifold is charging now for a Harland Miller print with pretty colors; $17,000. Probably the smartest thing is to sell right now like Nigo or even the Koons owner did and have cash for when the correction occurs. There is a reason why some of the biggest collectors are selling right now. These collectors know the art market and have done well for decades. They will again be the collectors who buy the best pieces - in cash - during the next market correction. Much of the major art that has come up for auction in NYC the last 6 months of last year and so far this year has been from the estates of wealthy patrons that have recently passed away - this is usually the case.
Some think Stephen A. Cohen, a relatively astute market wizard if not a criminal, as the buyer of the recent Koons item. Iโm sure he calculated the purchase versus potential market disruptions.

Never have bought anything from Case, so hard to be blacklisted. And I do plenty for the forums and other members, what have you done lately? Feel like I was pretty generous giving away Parra, Arsham and recently the Peeta piece, another on the horizon as well. Aside from selling the KAWS charity prints, to further my collection, I think i'ver only lost money over the years collecting what I personally like.
Keep it about the art instead of making it personal. Shaming people shows you have 0 class.

Kaws โข MOCAD Print Edition, by Hairbland on Jun 2, 2019 22:40:23 GMT 1, We may be in an art supercycle , much like stocks. Until 2 weeks ago everyone in the financial world though the bull run would last until 2020 when the election gets "real". I am of the opinion that we are in a art supwr cycle where investors do not have a choice but to (1) hide cash under a mattress at 2.4% (2) play the stock market (3) alternative investments. Many folks like tangible assets as storage of wealth or speculativly. I owned gold and silver before 2010- sold out. I owned Bordeaux wine until 2008- sold out. I have a few prints, which to me are assets, mostly from mid century artists but a few i have picked up here. I dont count them on my books, but i do have them as part of my future "estate" i will pass to my kids. Imo, as long as i buy a few pieces steadily decade after decade (which i have) , the art market can collapse, and ill be fine. Do i think it will?yeah, but not for many years. Where else is there to go? The people โspeculatingโ here are largely the same people aflutter over the Uniqlo dolls or multi-colored BFFs.

Kaws โข MOCAD Print Edition, by Billy Sport on Jun 5, 2019 10:16:20 GMT 1, I emailed MOCAD after getting one, suggesting anyone from UK has the 9702 code. If you were charged around ยฃ47 that is 5% , if you have paid more, then you can ask FEDEX to claim the VAT back but they will charge you for it, ยฃ53 plus VAT..

Under ยฃ3000 auction close, seller gets nearer 2500 after eBay/PayPal/listing fees.
Hopefully KAWS does these for every contemporary art museum in the states.

Kaws โข MOCAD Print Edition, by Happy Shopper on Jun 5, 2019 14:13:48 GMT 1, There was talk of duplicates earlier... seems there could be at least 3 of the blue hand.
2 on ebay from different sellers (one I assume is the member here), plus the Instagram seller rearview_art (unless they have a different eBay name)

Kaws โข MOCAD Print Edition, by Happy Shopper on Jun 5, 2019 15:08:50 GMT 1, Looks like there could be 4 or 5 of the blue hand then! Maybe the better ones are more duplicated, because they've tried to be good to people!! Shock.
