Glastonbury Festival, by Johnny Sarcasm on Jul 4, 2024 12:38:49 GMT 1, Ok, let's take a rest from all the abuse and insults just for a moment and look at the actual art. Reasons why the posters are almost definitely NOT by Banksy... 1. They are a South American company promoting South American artists. 2. They are printed in garish day-glo colours. Does B ever do this? 3. There are different colourways of the same image. Does B ever do this? 4. Banksy's work is very political and often features humour. I'm not sure I see either of these things in these posters. 5. Banksy make his message very obvious, sometimes taking a sledgehammer to crack a nut. Is there a message to these posters? If so it is very subtle. Banksy does not do 'subtle'. 6. One of the images is a copy of a photograph. Does B ever produce artworks from making a print out of a photograph? 7. If these prints are by Banksy then why did he only do 2 of the 4 available? Surely he would do all 4 ... or none at all. 8. The fact that Banksy may have curated Terminal 1 does not mean he had anything to do with the posters (see 7 above). 9. The fact that there was a Banksy inflatable at the festival does not mean he also produced some posters as well. 10. Banksy always acknowledges when he produces something, even postcards and t-shirts. If these posters really are by him why hasn't he acknowledged as such? Have I missed anything? I've sold all mine, so no vested interest, but FYI...
3. Yes - Police Kids, Basquiat, Happy Copper to name a few 4. The border print is obviously political 5. I don't think an image of a baby being passed over a wall is in any way subtle 6. Yes - Flags, Applause for example 7. There were 8 available

Everyone followed suit after that which probably led to most of the cancellation of orders. Made me really hope that they aren’t banksy even though I have one on the way from a member on here.

Glastonbury Festival, by LJCal on Jul 4, 2024 13:05:50 GMT 1, £1500 is about right at the moment, all being known. Don’t listen to the grumpy middle aged men flooding here, who want to talk it down in spats and grunts to try and fleece you of a great piece of Banksy art, basically for peanuts so they can flip it later on through their fake accounts and profiles. You’re a complete pleb.

Glastonbury Festival, by leroy77 on Jul 4, 2024 13:09:38 GMT 1, What if members openly listed their Ebay account name below their profile in the interest of honesty and fairness - perhaps bring this forum back to a place of trust and camaraderie?
We all know we've all been keeping an eye on them, we used to just make fair agreements here for those that missed out - not keep trying to rip each other off!
I too believe the seller whom cancelled on a lot of us is too among us,
Just a thought

Let me know before she puts it on eBay for more.

Glastonbury Festival, by Happy Shopper on Jul 4, 2024 13:12:12 GMT 1, Reasons why the posters are almost definitely NOT by Banksy... 1. They are a South American company promoting South American artists. Some are clearly not by South American artists. Gold Peg, for example... and some really don't match their usual style. So proves nothing either way.
2. They are printed in garish day-glo colours. Does B ever do this? They employ their house style on posters designed by all artists. So not surprising, and maybe even a good reason they would have been used for these.
3. There are different colourways of the same image. Does B ever do this? Yes. Many times. Especially test prints and APs. Also Morons, Trolleys, Flags, some of the rat prints, etc.
4. Banksy's work is very political and often features humour. I'm not sure I see either of these things in these posters. The 2 in question are both very political. Boarderline is a very political image and a clever bit of semi humorous text.
5. Banksy make his message very obvious, sometimes taking a sledgehammer to crack a nut. Is there a message to these posters? If so it is very subtle. Banksy does not do 'subtle'. Is the child being pulled/lowered over a boarder wall not a "sledgehammer" image? I've no idea how this could be seen as subtle!
6. One of the images is a copy of a photograph. Does B ever produce artworks from making a print out of a photograph? Yes. Almost all his prints are either traced from existing photographs, or directly photo montages. Applause, Flags, Nola, I Fought the Law.
7. If these prints are by Banksy then why did he only do 2 of the 4 available? Surely he would do all 4 ... or none at all. Why? Seems reasonable he'd do some, and get other artists to do some too. Like Santa's Ghetto, etc.
8. The fact that Banksy may have curated Terminal 1 does not mean he had anything to do with the posters (see 7 above). True. We don't know if Banksy was involved in either.
9. The fact that there was a Banksy inflatable at the festival does not mean he also produced some posters as well. Also true.
10. Banksy always acknowledges when he produces something, even postcards and t-shirts. If these posters really are by him why hasn't he acknowledged as such? Not always, but yes. Usually. We can only wait and see.

Glastonbury Festival, by Terry Fuckwitt on Jul 4, 2024 13:25:00 GMT 1, For T1 Print. The Colombian printers brought the paper printed with 5 split fountains as the background into the festival. Banksy brought the screens to the finish with a white then black layer on top of that. No one in Columbia created the screens with the T1 Signage and vehicles- in the style of Banksy. He brought them to the festival and finished them himself. Facts. These are finished by Banksy at Glastonbury. Are you saying, not only are they Banksy prints, but Banksy hand screened these prints himself at the festival?

Glastonbury Festival, by Lroy on Jul 4, 2024 13:50:56 GMT 1, That seller was the first idiot to put a ridiculous price on them. Everyone followed suit after that which probably led to most of the cancellation of orders. Made me really hope that they aren’t banksy even though I have one on the way from a member on here. They are absolutely not by Banksy. The Terminal too even if there some few and great ideas. Only the boat. Did the Idles know ? Apparently (as read in newspaper), not

Glastonbury Festival, by xite on Jul 4, 2024 14:48:21 GMT 1, ‘Emily Eavis's focus for Terminal 1 was to tell the story of travel from an immigrant’s perspective; for attendees to experience first-hand how demeaning and tough the experience can be for anyone arriving from a third-world country’.
lol yeah Emily Eavis is the mastermind, that’s what she has prioritised for Glastonbury. A vision of a performance art installation about immigration. It has Emily Eavis written all over it 😂 nothing to do with Banksy. She’s always doing these things 😂
Then he was not listed as a curator anywhere just being featured as an artist. And a ‘curator’ that just talks about himself, doesn’t mention any of the art he curated for the installation?
Just talks about himself in such a long piece? Ok then. why was he anonymous for the festival as the curator but on the bill as an artist? 😂 Does he think he’s Banksy?
Bullshiiit. Much.

To finish on this good note, the « rumored Banksy » on eBay ( and with this flipper Xiite mocking us since the beginning : is he the rumor ?), should stop, as poor guys on EBay are still bidding crazily. One of the biggest scandal since a while. How to stop it ?

I mean the whole installation and idea of T1. It’s Banksy’s stage at Glastonbury where he’s curated a group show. Obviously. not this guy love watts who was only apart of it as he said in that post. So you post an image that has nothing to do with Banksy and yet state "so obviously Banksy". You're not even making sense anymore. Are you on drugs?
