Like a glass, if you break it, it becomes sharp enough to cut anything or almost anything. If people's fragility becomes unmanageable, it can create different types of situations. I believe that those who have fragilities and manage them have achieved a truly important balance in their lives. We are not all fragile. Those who are, carry a baggage of different emotions than us. I honestly believe they have more to tell than the norm of the masses. Poet? What is the poet? Participation in a national competition? Or be inside a collection of poems? I believe that the definition of a poet is very broad... and I honestly don't know whether to define myself as a storyteller. I have written poems, yes. But I'm not a poet. The calm after the storm is a poem composed by Giacomo Leopardi in September 1829.
This is the most reassuring part of his words:
"O benevolent nature, these are your gifts, these are the pleasures that you offer to mortals. Among us the pleasure is to escape from fear, to cease to suffer...".
Leopardi was an exceptional pessimist, I would even say cosmic.
Usually calm returns after a storm. It's never the other way around. No storm has reached me and I believe it will never find me. At least I hope.
Storms are very rare events and sometimes only bring trouble. :-)))
The night is tender
slips unexpectedly.
Light the way
to the returning traveller.
Along the journey, the effort was great.
The path is taken and the journey begins again.

Glad I did. Amazing outfit never heard of La Linterna before Glasto.

I knew nothing about it at the time, just popped in to get a free paper and they were there signing them. Tried chatting to ask them about it but donโt think they spoke a word of English! Thatโs what I love about Glasto though, itโs put these obscure Columbian printers in the spotlight and itโs a great story.
