One to watch - first print by Nadia Waheed, by Icesay on Jul 5, 2019 20:25:37 GMT 1, Personally I really don't like this at all. That's possibly because I dont get it but aesthetically I dunno....I try to see the good but I'm struggling with this. I read the blurb with interest but on reflection realised that it was insipid. Questions of identity from someone that moves continually merely demonstrate a person who is struggling with identity but without the realisation that we are all just human. I find that to be immature. Having said that if the artist develops more skill and examines the question of what is identity then perhaps the symbology and the mark making will combine to produce a thought provoking and beautiful end result.
