Sadly, it does appear that for all the potential positives in not authenticating street pieces a major negative is coming into play more and more. If people know that the buyer won't be able to get a piece authenticated they can produce as much of this crap as they want. Presumably as long as they don't stencil his name on the piece there's nothing illegal about doing it either.
