I really liked this one when I saw it and thought that; yes this might be real.
So I looked around on the internet and on my hard drive to see if I could find it or one like it, but had no luck. So there wasn't any real thought of me bidding on it.
The auction ended at £698.59. A lot for a fake, but really cheap for an original Banksy.
Today I had my Wall and Piece out looking for something else and *BAM*. On page 108. There it is!
Ok, the bolts aren't there, but I guess they could have been filled in. After all the auction pics aren't very detailed and it's a small picture. But even the details in the white background and the scratches match!
I thought: "s**t! I just missed an original Banksy on Ebay that is in Wall & Peace!"
Then I checked a bit more. I put them over each other in Photoshop and realized that some things weren't quite right:
They don't line up 100% when superimposed with each other.
Some detail is missing.
So someone has researched and spent some time to fake this and I think they've done a good job. I guess that you would realize it was a fake when seen in real life, but the auction pics almost had me fooled.
Be careful out there!

Recently every time I log into the forum there is either a backdoor print or something fake in the ebay listing at the top of the page. It's ridiculous, if you were new to Banksy and logged on to the forum you would automatically be greeted with fake items for sale, which seeing as this is a Banksy forum you would probably think they are legit.

They weren't copies of genuine Hirsts, they were created by Mr Fox and touted as rare early works, they were always found at charity shops and market stalls and were all signed (badly)....

Be careful with doing this, you probably have your home address registered on ebay which will be disclosed to the seller. You don't want some huge dribbling badmen knocking at your door for their money.
