With Women more happy to wait for the customers to come to them? So slower original prices but side by side in auction they are getting the prices they deserve.

I was being sarcastic and personally think there’s no specific logic reason behind this, it’s just clickbait

I think that collectors are becoming more aware of how little attention they’ve paid to female artists in the past and are looking to add diversity to their collection. I also think that female art collectors are on the rise and that women are likely to support artists of the same sex. These are just 2 possible reasons out of a million.

Works by women artists outperform art by men, by chevyav53 on Aug 2, 2019 4:33:31 GMT 1, I think galleries are further capitalizing on the ignorance of art collectors while riding the current movements to do so.
The reasons for the disparities in price are the same for those seen in the corporate and political environments. But here galleries and brokers can more quickly profit from promoting female artists so the gap will shrink more quickly.

I would slap anyone who told me that they wanted to add some "diversity" to their collection. Add work to your collection because you want it, not because it earns you woke or virtue-signalling points with the cuckerati.

I’m just giving one of many reasons. It’s not my personal fucking reason.
