Kaws is Koons for the masses.
Someone has listed the blanket for $8600. If it sells that would be impressive.

The dissected prints sat in his site for a very long time. At $750 they were a lot of money in comparison to any other street artist at the time.
If I had bought one of them at the time, I would have most probably stuck it in an oversized ikea frame lol

Someone mentioned the cancellations on insta as well.
As I said yesterday, working hard on saving of this release.
Looking good so far, a couple of them flipped on eBay or auction and it's a wrap. Well done guys, it was close but we got it sorted. The balance is restored and everyone can continue as nothing has happened.

I think the statue has the most impact, because of its size and the way you can sense the weight of it, but the sketch is surprisingly moving.

Certainly agree that the sketch is much more emotive than the vinyl. I think vinyl can't help but say 'plaything', however well it's made. The way the sketch is shaded reminds me of children's books, which makes it feel sadder. The way Companion is standing, one foot slightly in front of the other as if he's stepping forward, with his arms looking like they're passing BFF toward the viewer, makes it quite helpless.
