PC have requested to see the print in order to verify it and then issue COA. Has anyone been through authentication day process that they offer where the print is couriered to and from PC? Cheers I had to get mine to their inspection day, but being in Edinburgh it wasn't cheap to have them picked up, so I drove them to the couriers myself. Then there was a delay, so I had to come back the following week to pick them up. so I had to drive Edinburgh to Gatwick Airport twice to get it sorted. Probably shoulda just paid the ££ but I was feeling tight and didn't have much work on. Once Flight logistics have them its all covered by Pest Control insurance, but even so, if the van they picked them up in caught fire and your print goes up in smoke, how can there be a payout if they were on their way to being authenticated? That gave me the fear.... Flight Logistics have seen it all though, and were extremely helpful.

I am waiting for a GDP item (I am first owner, with receipt etc) to be reviewed. Been 7 weeks now, wondering how much longer (sorry - havent read all the long thread) Have you applied for GDP COA? And have you heard from them yet? Once I heard from them they said it'll take 28 days to get COA. I applied for coa first day I was supposed to, roughly November of 2021 and just heard back from them a couple weeks ago saying coa is in the mail
I bought the print in Nov 2019 (delivered Mar 2020).
On the email to me it said "We will not issue a CoA until the second anniversary of the date of pruchase. Certificates will be sent to the purchaser at the delivey address".
So I didn't think I had to apply for anything, and it would just be sent to me, around Nov 2021.
Nothing was sent and I forgot to chase until early this year, by which time all CoA enquiries were being directed to Pest Control.
I applied via PC with all the photos etc in March 2022.
Got an acknowledgemnt email and request reference number.
Not heard a peep yet.

Its somewhat long, but not untypical. Have had a quite a few prints take 12-24 months. I am not sure what drives it, but sometimes I think its whether there is clear ownership chain for the piece on file at PC or not that matches what you have submitted in the authentication request. |

Unless one was to consign a print but have a last minute change of heart before auction day…

They are currently charging £69 to issue the COAs once authenticated. Add this to the £160 it cost me to ship to and from PC via flight logistics its quite a costly exercise nowadays if they cant authenticate remotely.
Now all i need to do is figure out the best way to get the most for my print......

I got a confirmation email today (exactly 1 year later to the day - weird) that it had been approved. I've paid my £69 and now I wait to receive the certificate - I hear this can easily take 2-3 months - will report back when I receive it for those who are still waiting.

Bought from source after winning lottery: Nov 2019
Applied for COA: 2 year anniversary November 2021
Emailed confirming payment for COA: Feb 2023
Due to receive it imminently (28 days from payment apparently but heard it can take slightly longer)
Slight deviation on the pricing though as mine was £100 + VAT (£20) + £9 delivery, more than the £69 quoted above. Mine wasn’t viewed in person & purely was an online application which may be the difference in price.
