I respect that Mike and was aware that payment processors aren't in-house. I think the point is that most of us would use a CC processor we hadn't heard of without worrying, if we wanted to buy from the gallery and are trusting them to choose how our data is processed/stored. I don't think CC details would be required by PC either! We're off topic though, can you think of a valid reason to feel uneasy about sharing some personal data with PC?

Personally no.
If it's good enough for Sothebys, Bonhams etc... then it's fine by me

How does the site work, i.e. where does it get it info from to authenticate - POW records LAZinc?
As an aside is there a fee for the service?
Luckily do not need to worry as no Banksy's to sell and no money to buy at present ;D ;D

But Pest Control is primerily for original Banksy's as these are being faked ten fold compared to print.
POW handle print authenticity enquiries.
maybe that is why it's taken longer for response, were they r.e a print?

this was listed on the forum a few days ago - we all know its a fake & i'm sure so does the seller. I sent them a message saying I was asking pest control to authenticate the piece and the seller never replied.
Correctly so, pest control dont get involved with the politics of whats 'not' authentic.
Sold for just under £2.6k - like sohoria said tho - those who bid because they like the art, have the right to spend their money how they wish. I'm pretty sure they're not so gullable in assuming a Banksy 'street piece' can be bought for a few quid.

Slight contradiction there.......they don't authenticate street pieces, yet have identified 89 street pieces falsely attributed to the artist. Which in other words means they authenticated them.
