End of 2019, I contacted Pest Control, for some prints bought on Ebay. The prints didn't look like originals to me... but my big brother.. insisted on seeing if they were and so I contacted them. They replied after 6 months (October 2019 - February 2020) telling me that unfortunately those prints were not by Banksy (as I imagined).
So of others who responded after a few months (2-3) and others who responded after a year. Evidently, they have a heavy workload, and in some moments they waste more time. I think it's a "home office", that is, a place run by someone who also takes care of other things in life.
I don't think it's a real control and traceability office.
Good luck with your requests!... Even if it's very difficult... it doesn't mean that a dream can come true for you! ๐

Nothing wrong with my old style PC COA, just personal preference to have the new style.

I believe, that if you don't sell or buy now, your certificate remains unchanged.
If you have a work by Banksy, which has already been certified before the reissue of the new certification, you will not be issued a new certificate. I also seem to have read it somewhere but now I can't remember where.

The print didn't sell and it's back with me now waiting for the market to pick up. I agree!... Even when you buy a house, everything is the responsibility of the buyer.
And then ... 45 pounds ... not even a lot ... for someone who has decided to buy at auction.

Sotheby's also told me that if I sold with them they would replace my old COA with a new one from Pest control. This was the first I heard of any new COA. Sothebys turned out to be about as equally unmotivated at selling anything as the other auction houses and I didn't sell with them in the end (EDIT:- it won't let me name the auction house for some reason and keeps removing the name but same as previously mentioned

I dropped PC authentications a line to see if they would change my old cert for the new style. I'm sure they wouldn't want to be inundated with such requests but they may just do it an an ad hoc.
I'm expecting a response from them towards the middle of 2025

I got a confirmation email today (exactly 1 year later to the day - weird) that it had been approved. I've paid my ยฃ69 and now I wait to receive the certificate - I hear this can easily take 2-3 months - will report back when I receive it for those who are still waiting.

Pest Control COA โข Banksy Print Authentication, by veetee on Aug 5, 2023 8:48:01 GMT 1, For those interested in time frames for COA, the below relates to my GDP MetBall Bought from source after winning lottery: Nov 2019 Applied for COA: 2 year anniversary November 2021 Emailed confirming payment for COA: Feb 2023 Due to receive it imminently (28 days from payment apparently but heard it can take slightly longer) Slight deviation on the pricing though as mine was ยฃ100 + VAT (ยฃ20) + ยฃ9 delivery, more than the ยฃ69 quoted above. Mine wasnโt viewed in person & purely was an online application which may be the difference in price.

Iโve emailed a couple of months ago but obviously havenโt had any replyโฆyetโฆit surely canโt take this long after payment (iโve checked it all went through). The COAโs would be signed for deliveries right? So if itโs gone awol it would be knownโฆ?!

I don't see how it will help, and it could even hinder ongoing negotiations with PC. If there's no record of the prints being "sold", and they were gifted (even exchanged in some sort of marriage deal), that might be the final decision from PC. But I don't know. Best to keep it private.
Be kinda funny if someone else, or five someone elses, has a Grannies #41.
