BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by naughtyshorty on Oct 8, 2019 23:12:43 GMT 1, For those who have visited, does the non-shredded heart t-shirt actually come with a pendant or is it printed on the t-shirt? It's hard to tell from the photos I have seen. upload a pictureSeparate pendant, on the shredded it’s a printed balloon Oh dear. When that pendant isn’t there, it looks like a member of hitler youth making an unfortunate gesture....

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by nolafan on Oct 9, 2019 2:00:38 GMT 1, I’m hoping I can get lucky enough to get a print this time. Luck wasn’t on my side for Sales End, so maybe this time will be different.
I’m a bit late to appreciating Banksy. However, I did manage to get an Unsigned Silver Flags and IFTL a few years back.
Since I’m in the US, I won’t get a chance to see the exhibit in person. I do appreciate the folks on the forum kind enough to share their experiences and pictures. Brings someone far away a chance to walk in others’ shoes!

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by jp on Oct 9, 2019 5:01:49 GMT 1, Here's a fair few images form the show, taken today. Hard to get super clear shots due to being daytime. Love this one.
I don't recall seeing it before. Does anyone know if it has a title? Is it a one-off or was it a VIP print at some point?

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Adam The Collector on Oct 9, 2019 6:19:21 GMT 1, Love this one. I don't recall seeing it before. Does anyone know if it has a title? Is it a one-off or was it a VIP print at some point? The boy with a toy was part of the original Dumbo print which was on a larger sheet of paper. For some particular reason Banksy chose to separate the boy from the main terrorists. Maybe to emphasize the juxtaposition.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by trap door on Oct 9, 2019 8:16:45 GMT 1, Can you imagine the amount of packaging needed to ship hundreds upon hundreds of ceramics? If the mugs/plates are hand painted even a local pottery party shop would struggle to get these out in the numbers inevitably in demand at near £10 a pop. Can’t see these being above an edition of a few hundred unless printed. Collection only in Croydon maybe? Anybody see if the cans are signed in metallic pen or machine engraved (possibly mass produced?) There’s a typo on the spray cans sign, anybody spot it?

The Logistics of sorting, shipping 10,000s of products!!! This would require some 'set up' !
Its going to be fascinating to see how it all 'plays out'

After last year's donation to choose love I'm sure volunteers will help with the despatch or he will pay them as helping with the refugee boat. Last year many volunteers stood in street of carnaby street selling raffle tickets.

As some are taking advantage and selling them for a grand on eBay they are securing the site 24/7 a poster that some people are selling will be there whole wage more or less after tax for two weeks work. Anyway if I was banksy I'd give them a reward. Shame I cannot make the event but loving the write ups on a twice daily basis in between breaks day trading on the GDP alongside other currencies. Ok.. You should take a longer break and go see it in person, the fx markets wont miss you for one day. true this will go at weekend. I don't trade crypto just GDP to USD etc

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by withnail69 on Oct 9, 2019 10:22:30 GMT 1, How has gone for Both of you! Really interested in your shared experience!! I'm popping down there tomorrow (Child Free), Weds around 1pm-2pm So we just got back, we left at about 0930 this morning from Temple Meads and arrived at GDP around 1215 ish, we took the train from Paddington to Victoria and then to East Croydon, it's about a ten minute walk from East Croydon and there's a BoxPark nearby with as**tload of places to eat.. ...within a matter of arriving one of the security guys (Ben was his name, lovely chap) popped over and said "Are you GMA?" which I instantly thought "WTF!" to which I said, yeah I am, how do you know! Anyway he then asked if my daughter had received a poster yet, and then popped back with one for her, which was a really nice gesture. At the time there was a bunch of school kids who had clearly came during their lunch break to get one, they all looked pretty happy with receiving one each. I safely tucked it into our bag and we started to have a look at the pieces on display. After having a look for a bit, I was then approached by someone else, "Are you GMA?" Woah, wtf is going on today hahah, yes I am, and I bumped into ShopKeeper, who was really friendly and approachable, great to meet and lovely to have a chat with someone from the forum! The first time we walked around, I spent time taking pictures to capture it all, which was really difficult in the daylight. The reflection was a bit of a nightmare for photos, but when you place your face up against the glass and covered your forehead with your hands to peer in, you could see no problem. You could see a lot of it anyway, it's just not as clear as at night from the pictures I've seen. The second time around was to spend time looking at the actual pieces with my own eyes and not through a lens. All of the pieces look great up close and personal, there are some amazing pictures on here but I think you need to see the works in the flesh if you can. Banksquiat for me really stood out, it looked a lot bigger than I was expecting! Thrower was also another stand out piece for me, I'm curious to see if Banksy will continue using this new method he mentions in the description card, but an iconic piece for sure. I really enjoyed Goldfish too, there was something about it that just got my attention with the way the fish seems to be wanting to dive into the picture of the sea but is held hostage in a fish bowl. I loved the Cushions, I can't stand that wanky bollocks that people have in their homes which says stuff like "Bath" above the bath, "Love" above the bed, so this did make me laugh. The Rug was my daughters favourite (the 2nd being Goldfish), I asked her what she thought and she said "He's had too much sugar" Fantastic answer, she knows and is aware. It's disgusting to think that kids under 5 have had to have tooth extractions, quite ludicrous really so it was great to see this piece raising awareness of that. Life Jacket and Early Learning Counting Set were also very thought provoking, they really put things into perspective and got me thinking about some of the horrendous situations some of these people have to go through just to live. The Banksy cans looked cool, I could see myself have a few on a shelf, whether that's achievable or not is another story. Overall, a great display, one I thoroughly enjoyed seeing and I'm pleased I went!\ **Edit, it was ShopKeeper, not HappyShopper If this is true then they are all over this forum. Sounds very far fetched though. They asked everyone turning up whether they were a forum member who had mentioned on this forum that they were going to croydon?
