BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by sgolby on Oct 9, 2019 19:09:47 GMT 1, Banksy goes to areas like this and Gaza to help highlight them and bring some much needed love .. I'll add, pliantly of people warned about going to the West Bank, yet I found it safe and peaceful. I think we get warned of worst case scenario due to propaganda, and people genuinely looking out for ya. But 99% of the time, if ya got a good head on your shoulders you will be fine in most places.
The west bank has been A tourist destination for christian tourists to the region for years now. I visited there 8years ago when i was in israel for a wedding. Seeing the wall brought my father and I to tears. The media portrayal of the west bank would make it seem as though you have to dodge bullets, rocks and bombs. When the reality is very different. You are more likely to be invited to drink tea and eat dates than experience any sort of affront to your freedom, except of course the wall and towers that hold the snipers.

These guys are stupid. They are actually selling them as posters when they are actually a screenprint. Anyone that actually has one take a closer look. The Only way you can get a picture on that fragile piece of paper is by Screenprinting And it is more cost-effective If you was lucky enough to get one of these. well done and I suggest you keep it and not sent
Are newspapers screen printed?

I'll go a step further and say, I think it is a great conversation starter piece on the conditions of the art world and market. I would put it up for that alone. Is there a way to actually buy his stuff?

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by josephwillis123 on Oct 9, 2019 19:27:20 GMT 1, I like hearing everyone favorite piece's. For my favorite, I would choose the Early Learning Counting Set and the gravestone. ELCS for its use of a kids innocent counting toy as a direct and and poignant representation of the current migrant situations around the world. I also really like the gravestone (You Have Reached Your Destination). More of a personal connection with that one and I like to think of their passing's as the completion of a long exciting journey. I also find the gravestone quite honest. Simple but powerful. My sister died last year, and I vividly remember standing at her grave, thinking 'Everything she ever did in her life, all the trials and tribulations, the laughs, the tears, the love, all the personal relationships and drama, all the people she met, every aspect of her life... all led to this point. This place in the ground. And she will move no more.* It's quite a lovely piece. If we hadn't already had her stone made, I woulda nicked this idea. *unless the council gives permission for those new flats Condolences on the passing. What you wrote is very true, one sentences on one piece of granite, to describe a person entire life... This last weekend I took my grandmother on a long drive to spread my grandfathers ashes. We drove a few states away out to the very small town he grew up in (about 500 people). I have heard hundred of stories that took place in this town, many of those hundreds of stories I've heard hundreds of times in fact haha. Oddly enough, the town was quite similar to what I had envisioned it to be. A testament to his story tailing I guess. We spread his ashes at his parent and sisters graves. Two things struck me about those gravestones. The first was just a visual observation, although they were 50+ year old gravestones, they looked like they could have been made yesterday. Just looked pristine. The second was along the lines of what you wrote above. Those markers are all that remains of their full life. Its a hard thought to process.
(sorry if this was a downer story, I just wanted to respond and share it.)
Anyways.. how about that tiger rug!

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by GMA on Oct 9, 2019 19:55:42 GMT 1, I worked there for years and it was pretty dodgy and violent at night and that was before all the gang related stabbings and muggings etc.. Google it there was a massive gang fight not long ago in broad daylight with kids attacking each other with scaffolding poles Sound like one of those HK triad-type movies. All the photos I've seen thus far of the exhibit and the nearby streets makes it look pretty safe to me. Maybe this changes everything! Damn, been with a new client today so had to be on best behaviour, in the back of my mind I've been thinking "dont be open dont be open dont be open" Have I missed something? I thought all along the website hasn't been expected to open until the storefront "closes" after like 2 weeks... so ~1 week more?
Nah, just I never take my finger off the trigger lol you never know with this sort of thing. If I dont have instant access to the internet when something like this is happening I lose the plot. Work eh 🤢🤣🤣

Do you think Banksy has used this image because he knew this would end up happening, ebay looks like a scene from The Pied Piper of Hamelin. So many rats.

As always though, it's the real fans that will miss out because of the actions of some selfish adults who should really know better. No surprise to see that grubby little shìtehawk Steph Ratcatcher selling 3 on the bay. Do you think Banksy has used this image because he knew this would end up happening, ebay looks like a scene from The Pied Piper of Hamelin. So many rats.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Deleted on Oct 9, 2019 21:08:08 GMT 1, ... word is ... posters are being 'stopped' handing out to kids or anyone else for the time being ... they have literally been watching adults paying children to go and ask for posters ... 20+ on eBay last count ... Greed never ceases to amaze me.... it's an art forum. Who really cares about this banksy and his desire to raise money for a refugee boat. Considering at least nine people died when a boat carrying dozens of migrants sank off the coast of the island of Lampedusa, south of Sicily, Italy's coastguard said on Monday on the same day people are paying kids for rat posters. Oh the beauty of the forum.
