Banksy Basquiat Print, Gross Domestic Product™, by JFCC on Nov 14, 2021 16:10:11 GMT 1, Four Banksquiat's have sold in the last 16 months in the UK in a range of £107k - 123k all in at auction (that's £80k - 95k hammer.) Only one of these was grey and that sold for £112.5k or £85k hammer.
I have seen a few in galleries at £125k - £150k and they appear to have been moved on pretty quickly. There is no distinction in price between grey and black, it's a matter of personal preference.
All of the Banksquiat's will and have been sold without a COA as they have not been issued yet. In the UK Tate Ward are the only Auction house to sell GDP products before the COAs are issued and in contravention with the requests to collectors to hold for 2 years by Pest Control. I guess that speaks volumes of both parties!!
My personal view is prices will stay pretty static at around the £100-120k when COA's are finally provided as there will be a number of people who will want to realise the profits made and equally a similar amount of buyers who want the print but won't risk buying without a COA. Aside from specials there's only 300 of each colour in existance.

With that mentioned, I can overlook the no CoA at the moment and in place of have the application in progress(application submitted), surely I won't miss out on the opportunity to buy one with proper email doc trail, and just hang on until the CoA is delivered and then go through the CoA change of owner process with PCO.
I received 2 PMs saying they may have a lead but it was the same lead I had..the print had been framed already and there was a buyer ahead of me 😅 I am looking to have it in an unframed state upon purchase

It really is very simple, and the logistics can be tailored so that we transact at a bank or a gallery or a public hybrid safe location for both parties.

For the Sale Ends v2 it only took 2 months from applying to receiving it in the mail.
They know exactly who they sold the Bansquiats to, so I think it won't take that long here either.
As I understand from previous posts you do need to apply for a COA.
They won't be sent automaticly.

It is also astonishingly inexpensive at €60-80k!! I would be very wary of that one, the paper trail would have to be very convincing. |

I would have to see the email trail/transaction records for both the print and CoA. Should be fairly easy to search on the Outlook app.
Price wise, I doubt it sells at that estimate, it's quite low and know more than one person willing to pay that right now - let's see what happens🙌

For Banksquiat the lottery winners got theirs first, then the first collectors who had been offered them at about the same time received their items in November 2019. A second wave of collectors were then offered pieces in spring/summer 2020 (at different prices to the original) and these were delivered in November 2020 to January 2021!
Or so I have been told!!
